Increased security at the games today

The illusion of security is going to increase.

Its not an illusion.  Doing this does make thing more secure.  Thats not to say security is perfect or that bad things still couldn't happen, but it does help slightly.  Similar to buying a safer car.  They are more secure but if you drive off a cliff, extra airbags aren't going to help.

The thing that gets me ...

The bombing happened down the street in Paris ... NOT IN THE GAME ... I appreciate the increased measures at the games ... but if ISIS was gonna bomb again ... it would be down the street and the extra security does not help that.

One of the bombers was stopped by security trying to get into the game....

The security is the reason that they did it outside the game.  One guy had a ticket and was stopped trying to get in, then he detonated the bomb

Did you actually watch the reports or read the story?  You care categorically wrong.

security stopped one of them at the gate because they detected the vest.  He then detonated it.

It's still an illusion to a point. What is protecting 5,000 or so people bunched up outside the stadium at an entrance? Nothing.

Another Marine that knows the truth .... Happy Birthday Brother

Remember the increased security at the GB game .... If you ask me all those people piled up on each other trying to get in is the best place to set off a bomb. Thats why the other bombers went to find a crowd of people before setting off

    • Canales has never been part of big YAC offenses in the NFL.  That’s not his tree.  Not in Seattle, Tampa or here.  Every O he has been associated with basically has been bottom half of the league in YAC.  That’s what Bryce needs to happen though  2 very different things
    • Well, his job is to win and make Bryce better and other stuff too but he has to have a certain amount of buy in to make that work. If it is real or he has to talk himself into believing it, as coach and leader and in the context of the present time with the whole team needing to believe, who knows? You lie if you have to.  I think you have have to separate that Canales from the detached offseason evaluation Canales. It is possible that you are correct and he is sold on Bryce. It is also possible that he isn’t, but cannot confess.
    • Ah yes, the old "accuse your opponent of what you're actually trying to do" tactic. Always amusing 😄 You wanna drop out? No problem, but you should probably do so by just admitting the conversation is over your head.  Though truth be told, even if you don't wanna admit it, I'm pretty sure anyone reading this, watching you dodge the questions and just cut and paste the same recycled answers over and over again can probably already see that 😆
