We Have Officially Made It

So a little over a year ago I moved west to California during our losing skid. I was made fun of, laughed at, and asked every week why do you keep coming to this bar to watch this. Then we started winning and the regulars started rooting for the Panthers. Lots of them were 9'ers fans who hate the Seahawks.... so of course we get to talking about bandwagon fans. I would laugh and always make the same statement "Man I can't wait till the day I am called a bandwagon fan living out here, that means we have finally made it"

Well.... walking into CostCo tonight the door guy is like "Hey man how long have you had that jacket?" Dude I've been a fan since 95 can't you tell by the strong Southern Accent... "Just making sure you're not one of these bandwagon fans I've been seeing, I assume its all the Seahawk fans jumping from one to the other"

So yeah I was called a bandwagon fan which means... WE'VE MADE IT!!!

People been asking me the same thing, how long I've had my jacket. I don't like it lol

Here's the thing I told the truth... 2 years. I had to buy it at the team store during the Saints rain game since I didn't wear a pancho. The reason I didn't wear one was because I was wearing my ICE UP SON T-Shirt and no way in hell I was covering that up. (Really weird day cause it was actually quite warm that late in the year)

Apparently 2 years was long enough for him to not be considered a bandwagon fan. I said since 95 and he had already moved on.

    • I live in Indiana and took a trip that weekend to watch my two friend's teams play (Chiefs and Vikings) IN Minnesota when they were playing at a college field, I think TCF? Anyways, our plan was to watch the game (noon game) then do some shopping at the Mall of America, I wasn't planning on watching the Panthers play Seattle since I was out sight seeing and walking around after the noon game had ended. By the time we were walking back into the Mall the Panthers were down by 2 scores in the 4th or going into the 4th and we were all thirsty from walking around for 2.5 hours after the Vikings game so we decided to postpone shopping until after we ate. We found this nice little sports bar inside the mall that had the game on. Man, I'm so glad we skipped shopping because that was probably the most excited I've been in some time for a win. Beating Seattle in 2015 felt like the "monkey off the back" sort of feeling and I knew we had finally arrived as a team. The entire bar erupted when Cam hit Olsen for that walk off TD. Literally one of the greatest moments of my life. My friend wasn't so happy though lol, by the time the Panthers game ended ALL of the stores inside the mall had closed and he wasn't able to get any souvenirs. It was his first time watching a Vikings game live and making a trip like that so he was legit upset lol. I on the other hand couldn't have been happier.
    • This is the Buc's division to lose.  We come out on top only if the wheels come off if Tampa.  I agree we can be--and should be--better than the Saints and likely the Falcons.  A 9-8 season would be nice, but it isn't great.  It's mediocre and that something the Panthers haven't been in nearly a decade, but would be reason to celebrate.  Heck, the Steelers will likely fire Tomlin over a 9-8 season because they are tired of being mediocre.
    • First game was a awful stat line. 2nd DNP due to ankle Summer league doesn't help what hes bring, its dang near YMCA pickup game level.  I heavily question the type of player he is and his future was NOT, not not not what you use #4 pick on. Hornets got him on visit and still made the pick, they better hope he has some Larry legend in him. I maintain huge questions.
