I awoke from my tryptophan-induced stupor this morning, flipped on the tube, and it literally took me over two hours of flipping between Fox Sports1, The ESPN Networks, and NFL Network before we were even discussed.  Incredible...  Like 11-0 happens every season, smh...

To NFL Network's credit, once they got done discussing the Cowboys and whether they can still win their horrible division without Romo again (which I still find laughable because they were winless without him), they then said Cam should be at the top of MVP lists.  They cited how if you look at Cam's stats through his first 4 seasons that not only should he be considered an MVP front-runner this season, but his career stats show he is revolutionizing the position of QB.

Despite the overall lack of coverage for our historic win and continued streak of consecutive regular season victories, I'm not trying to bang on the Rodney Dangerfield drum.  I am legitimately ecstatic.  It appears we have turned the proverbial corner as a franchise in terms of national relevance.  It wasn't given, it was taken.  Just like I like it.

I have to admit, I was fairly worried that Goodell's goons would take control of that game to help the Cowgirls get back on track, but it was a very evenly called game and they just let us play.  And thus, the best team showed up and showed out.  This is just an awesome season and as a lifelong fan (since our inception lol), it is just an amazing feeling to watch and be a part of this experience.  Anyway, KEEP POUNDING.

Speaking of playing the refs during the Dallas game. I kind of had a feeling the calls would be even or even go our way. The NFL loves money and i get this feeling they are wanting two undefeated teams in the Superbowl. So for that to happen we and the Patriots need some calls to go our way. (Which the Patriots seem to get regardless of record.)

I know it's a crazy theory, but hey you never know. I'll take it though.

If you're mad about the lack of coverage in our 11-0 season, just wait. If New England beats Denver, they will be hailing the Pats as the best franchise in all if football.

 

I seriously hope that we face the Pats in the Super Bowl and we smash them. Our coaching staff deserves some credit as well, and I think the only way we get it is by beating the "best coach in Bellicek"

Fug the haters, the '72 Dolphins are sweatin right now and for good reason!

Yeah, I can see that...  but, that brings me back to us "turning that corner."  We used to be the team that had all the 50/50 calls go against us, but we forced our way into the upper echelon, and flipped that dynamic on its head.  We are respected universally, even if national coverage is still subpar.

I agree with OP and I think this is just a continuation of previous beatdowns.  The coverage is all about how the other team's self-destructed and what is going wrong with those teams.  When they realize they have to start talking about the Panthers we get the MVP talk.  To me that is just lazy reporting and irrelevant to the team game being put on display every week.  They talk about Cam's position in the MVP race because they don't know enough about this TEAM and the work of every level of the offense and defense and special teams to produce all these solid wins.

Had to watch First Take and Stephen A did say the best team won but all the conversation was still about Romo.

Absolutely, last week when Olsen got smacked in the head, previous years that would have been a no call 100 percent. We weren't getting the calls earlier in the year, but that is changing.
