Has Devin Funchess earned the starting spot?

He's the WR we don't have on the field when he's on the sideline.  Other than Olsen, we don't have a big body, athletic WR to make those catches that right now, only he can.  Philly is a slightly more shiftier Ginn, that really should be used in specific situations versus an every down starter opposite Ginn.  All three should see the field a lot, but Ginn and Funch should be the technical starters.

I would say he has earned the chance to be considered.  Philly Brown has had some big games as well.  However being a player we traded up to get, I think he has done enough to be placed into that number 2 role going forward if just to see if he can handle it.

No Pie for you since this is not a Pie chart.

I kid. I kid. I believe starting him in the last 5 games can only benefit him since he is on the rise. Let's see what is his ceiling (yards in a game) this season.

He's strong, man, but I think he's still learning control. He's come up with a lot of grabs recently, but does that mean he's learned a bunch of new tricks? Not necessarily, he's learning for sure and getting better for sure, but how many targets was he getting early versus now? and what kind of targets were they?

He's getting better at everything slowly but surely like most of the rest of the young studs on our team. Rivera I dont think will give Im the nod though with his veteren fancy.

I would say Proehl has it covered, he looks good in the bump n run now and is attacking the ball at the highest spot. I just dont know what routes he does and doesnt know and how good he is in space on every play. Is he always where he needs to be? Thats the question thats tough to answer.

I think so...

Plus, some players flat out don't do well in rare "spot" work.  They need reps and to get into the rhythm of a game.  He bluntly said it a few weeks ago.

Plus, we need him to continue to improve heading into the postseason.  He seems like the guy with the best potential to continue growing and improve us

Don't care who the "starter" is but in my opinion Cotchery and Funchess should be getting the most snaps.

Ginn has to get his.  Even if he isn't catching balls he serves a purpose.  Need speed that technically can run all the routes on the field.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
