MNF: They love the Panthers when they talk about the Panthers

Cowherd went on and on today about the Panthers. Saying the doubters are wrong and don't get it. He compared is to the Patriots as a team. Not as a franchise. I listened for that. I don't think he has done deeper analysis but he mentioned why the Panthers don't get talked about more. Because no one knows our skill position players. He also said that no one has seen us be good consistently so no one knows what to expect. He could be right.

Wow...another week another win ...the only 13-0 team, better by 2 games, and still no mention of the best team in the league for  close to 45 minutes. Any other team...

Dan Le Batard mentioned this bias on his radio show today. He said if it was a glamorous team it would be the lead story and talked about all the time.

Not every night is gonna be all about Carolina. When they did talk about us, it was really good though. That's all I could ask for. Earlier in the season, our segment would have been a little different.

Oh I know that, but you would think that MNF preshow would open with the number one team. No, still Pats and Dalton this week.

    • As the demand for apartments grows parking is becoming limited and it’s sad. I use to tailgate but I just park at uncc deck now and train in and head to rhino market. My tailgate grill hates me.
    • It simply depends on perspective. CMC, when healthy and on the field, has a higher YPC and YPR than LT. Yes, he's been injury prone, but this is simply a "all quarter-century team." There are certainly different stats and different lists. If this were a list or about a team simply based on longevity, then of course LT wins that every time, but some lists are more subjective and nuanced depending upon what they are, and it's not necessarily a reflection upon a person's ability to analyze sports.
    • From my what I have seen the overwhelming majority of people who are considering the notion a possibility don't really want to see it happen but are considering so for a number of reasons. Most importantly availability. Secondly even when he plays the last few seasons he has been red hot or ice cold. Then there is the subject of his defense which to say the least leaves a lot to be desired. Then there is the image of Ball inactive laughing it up on the sideline (while our team was getting the doors blown off) with previous busts who are now relegated to hanging on by a thread in the g league. I think we should be able to recognize with the team going out of their way to put a very strong emphasis on culture and leadership with the conclusion of this years draft that they expect LaMelo to lead the way this upcoming season and that begins with making significant strides and trending in a positive direction in the aforementioned aspects above. It just has to happen.
