So you want to suppress the opinions of anyone who you don't agree with? Wow, that truly is the homer mentality in a nutshell. Can't stand to hear anything negative at all. LMFAO.

 Only because we cannot waterboard them.

I think you are taking it all wrong. That or you are in a worse situation than most.

I love opposition. In fact I would love to have serious discussions with folks about alternating viewpoints and their effect on society as a whole. But this place is not designed for that.

I just get tired of people trying to undermine the intentions of this forum. If you wanna talk smack, there is a forum for that. If you want to view hot chicks, there is a forum for that too. This is for discussions of the Panthers and not somewhere idiots should use their discontent and spout visceral comments only to be never heard from again.

You know, I'm not even gonna get into it right now because it's like I said. If you are not happy with where this team is going, jump ship. It's a free country and you can do what you want. I just get tired of the sniper-like posters who will choose these trying times to spout venomous posts and somehow feel more important for it.

Those are the ones I'm gunning for. It is one thig to have to ignore the opposing teams trolls but to have it coming from the "inside" makes it seem worse. Sometimes I wonder if it isn't just opposing fans trying to stir things up.

"Fire Fox", "Fire Jake" and "All is lost" are all valid discussion points, whether I, you or anyone else agrees with them. Not being happy with the team is also a valid point of view. So is burying your head in the sand and saying "Stay the course." All of the above are relevant to the Panthers past, future and present.

Not to mention that I am relatively sure that, as with most message boards, there are "threads" about specific "subjects" which anyone has the right to get involved in or ignore, if they so choose. I don't jump into every thread and read every post, just the ones that I find relevant or am interested in discussing.

Now when one bans minority opinions or posters who support them, that is when a forum such as this pretty much sucks. So, again, why are you in favor of banning posters who don't share your views?

to sum everything up that has gone on here lately: a person is smart, but people are dumb. And there have been a hell of a lot of people around here lately.

Watching the huddle blow up like this after every loss is very predictable, funny, entertaining, and a cause for concern all at the same time.

Please stop putting words in my post. I never said banning everyone who disagrees but only those with purely malicious intents. Or relegate them to a forum until they learn to play nice. I like someones earlier post about having a "play pen" forum. IDK how long you've been hanging around but back in teh old huddle, we could neg rep a-holes to the smack forum until they learn to play nice.

Not necessarily agreeing with the homers (like myself) would warrant that but to get them to stop flooding the forums with BS posts, redundant posts that have been gone over again and again and just general overall A-holeness.

Sure can't wait for the rep button to come back.

Relegating them to a forum until they learn to "play nice" sounds a lot like keeping them out until they fall more in-line with prevailing point of view. I'm not a big fan of "rep ratings" because I have seen them be used as attack vehicles many times in the past. The best forums I have been on usually have fairly liberal moderators that accept most posters, regardless of viewpoint, except in the case that they are truly being grossly offensive or just spamming and trolling specifically to incite angst amongst the general populace.

Again, ultimately the onus is on you. You decide what you read and participate in. If you don't want to participate in a discussion because you don't agree or it upsets you or it's the 10000th time it's been discussed, then DON'T. I'm a pretty big fan of free speech and I readily bristle at anyone who decides that the "overall opinion" should decide who gets to participate and who doesn't.

Your not getting what he's saying, and you would have to hang around here for at least a season to appreciate what he's saying.

I guess the best way to put it is you do have a right to free speach but not to be heard.

And there are a lot of idiots that seem to think we are all dying to hear they're perspective on something that has been disscussed to hell and back.

Kid, I've been on more message boards than you can imagine over time. It gets stale and the same stuff gets brought up time and time again. That's the way specific message boards are, regardless of the subject.

If you don't want to hear it or read it, don't. I can't see a good reason to exclude unless it is someone spamming or trolling ridiculously. Message board regulars get this "good 'ol boy" mentality way too quickly.

I've given up my expectations. They are out the window. I have not given up hope that they pull some things together.

I have given up on Jake...again and for the last time.

Actually, this is how I feel..

I have no idea what this year will bring and am not really concerned anymore with trying to assume how we will do. That isn't a negative thing, but just a "wait and see" attitude. What is, is... For years we expect one thing and see the opposite. Even last year, we expected somewhat an average year and then we see DWill/Stewart run like mad men all over the field..

But I am disgruntled. I don't see how anyone cannot be... However, I didn't think "give up" was even in the dictionary, is that a real word? :)

Jake is Jake... I was hoping to see him have a very strong come back year due to the motivation of the Cardinal game and also a year removed from his Tommy John surgery... This was only 1 game, he could rebound..........................it can definitely happen..

But Jake Delhomme as a man... has a huuuuuge hill to climb. He has had 2 back to back games where he couldn't hold on to the ball or gave it away.. Granted the OLine was a HUUUGE reason for that. There is no doubt about that. But Jake lost a fumble where he didn't cover up the ball and threw at least 2 interceptions where he should have just taken the sack.

The man inside of Jake Delhomme (his confidence) must be horribly shaken. For anyone in Jake's position to brush these last 2 games off is hard to come by. The OLine must be on it's game as far as protection goes.

If Delhomme rebounds from this event, then that man can accomplish anything. I think this is the one thing not talked about or realized: The mountain this guy has to climb..

He might say he is going to have a short term memory, how that game was last week and this is a new week, whatever cliche you hear spouted out...

But I don't see Jake shrugging this off like it's just a speed bump.. I expect he's going to have to focus like he never has on putting those games out of his memory and overcoming his nerves...

As for Fox and Co.. Well, let's see what happens this year... :)

And there are a lot of idiots that seem to think we are all dying to hear their perspective on something that has been discussed to hell and back.
not only that they just HAVE to start a new thread about it.

if you've been around here long enough you will know how annoying it is.

it's also a complete waste of bandwidth.

you will have 4 or 5 threads talking about the same thing. someone gets a pickle in their butt about something and just decides to start a thread without looking to see if it has been discussed or is being discussed now.

starting a thread in which the only purpose is to say" YEAH JAKE SUX! FOX SUX WE ARE GOING TO GO 0-16 THIS YEAR JUST YOU WAIT AND SEE!!!!!!!!!" is about as stupid as someone coming in and saying "JAKE IS TEH AWESOME!!! FOX IS GREAT!!!! WE ARE GOING TO GO UNDEFEATED THE REST OF THE YEAR!!!!" sure people have a right to say it but does it need to be said a million times and have a million threads?

lmao

I'm sorry but that's all that needs to be said in reply to that.

Kungfoodude, it's time to step away from the computer and take a break for a little bit.
