I don't get why everyone keeps saying Cam is going to change the way the position is played, because he's not.

To revolutionalize the position like everyone likes to say he's doing, it means the league is going to move towards more QB's like him.

The problem with that is there may not be another player with his size, speed, strength, skills, etc, agin for a long long time.

so nobody is ever going to be able to duplicate what he is able to do on the field, hence him not changing the game at all, he's just playing a new game that is all his own.

I don't think anyone is saying that in this thread or from the tweet. Cam is in his own universe.

Cam has best player in NFL history potential. He just needs a few Superbowls to bolster what I think will be an amazing resume.

Just think what he may accomplish better WR's around him.  Next year KB will be back, Funchess has improved as the season has gone along, Ginn will be back, Olsen will be back, we have the draft to maybe pick up a WR, and we will have cap space if we wanted a mid level WR if the right guy is available.

They'll know when those records stand for 100+ years. Right now, there is such a claim for the QB position that no one will pause to realize that the position has just been revolutionized right before their eyes. They're all caught up in Brady, Rodgers, Peyton, etc. and maintaining the status quo that they don't realize this beautiful thing going on in this league. Cam have those what you can call hard records that are not number of snaps related, unlike passing records. They'll know and they'll learn.

Yeah notice how in the last couple years they have sucked off QBs like Luck and other "traditional style" QBs, while turning a half blind eye to QBs like Cam that offer that dual threat.

One day Cam will have his grand kids sitting around him telling them stories about how years ago, "quarterbacks were only recognized for throwing the ball.....That was before your grandpa Cam got drafted by the Panthers and changed all of that."

I just hope the Charlotte Observer doesn't publish ridiculous letters from people when Cam does become a grandfather.

I can see it now. "What does Cam Newton becoming a grandfather, say about parents who will NEVER have grandchildren?" It's going to be a stupid headline just like that. LOL!

They better still publish letters like that because by the time Cam has grand kids, I'll be in the age range to represent the "grumpy old man" generation and you better believe, I'm gonna write some serious self righteous poo to the observer dumping all over the younger generation.  Heck, I'll probably even call out Cam for "dangerously dabbing while holding a grand baby.....How am I suppose to explain such irresponsible dabbing to my own grand kids?"  Plus "you can't, "properly dab holding a baby anyway."

I'm going to stir so much poo once I'm too old to get my ass kicked.

And he wonders why more people don't.

(P.S. He's one of the very few that have been perfectly fair to Cam from Day One, both complimentary and critically.)

Yeah just look at his resume so far.

1) Juco National Championship

2) BSC National Championship

3) Heisman Trophy Winner

4) #1 Overall NFL Pick

5) NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year

6) NFL MVP???

7) ??????

8) ??????

Quite Resume already, huh!?

Try to guess the other 2?

And that's just the Major Major stuff.

Soon to be Super Bowl Champion, Super Bowl MVP, and one day Hall of Famer.

Btw... you forgot All-Pro. This year is what... his 3rd in 5 years?!
