I'd like to take a moment to look back 5 years ago today, this Franchise took its most dramatic turn

Today marks the 5th year anniversary we hired Coach Ron Rivera.

Most of us were scratching our heads when they hired RR.  I got to admit, for his first 2-3 years Inreally had my doubts.  I am very glad JR and Getty kept him!  

2013, 2014, 2015, 3 time / 3 peat NFCS Champion.

2013 AP Coach of the Year.

2015 He coached the Panthers to their best record at 15-1.

2014-2015 He held the Panthers longest winning streak 18 straight games.

He holds a 47-33-1 record as the Panthers Head Coach.

Abd he is one hell of a Ricerboat Captain!

 

Heres to you Coach Rivera, so glad your our coach!

Now let's win our first Super Bowl!

Glad he grew into his role.  I was never really on the Fire Rivera bandwagon as I was the fire Shula bandwagon but regardless I am the organization didn't listen to us and fire either of them.

Hey, I'll admit I was a tad concerned the first few years. But, I am one to believe that a first time coach deserves a realistic opportunity to prove himself. Truly glad Rivera and staff got the time to iron out all the kinks.

I'm not certain we completely "turned the corner" till we hired Gettleman.

Once that Coach/GM combo was in place, that's when good things really started happening.
