They will make it fine. Airports don't shutdown that easily. They just tre at the runways as is done in places with far larger amounts of winter weather.

This. Biggest risk is getting from the airport to the hotel.

Some of you are acting like Charlotte's going to get what their predicting for Western NC.  Charlotte usually doesn't get anything due to the mountains.  The only time we get anything is when the storms blows up from the South.  Here's what AccuWeather is predicting right now:

that forecast is for a town 2 hours west of charlotte.

the only forecast i trust comes from my company's internal meteorology department. this is what they say:
