Broncos Fans Saying We Aren't Ready For this Stage

Denver Fan here.

First I would like to say congrats to getting to the Super Bowl.

Now on to my 2 cents.

Could this be a blowout yes, if Denver “D” does not play well, and the Broncos offense goes 3 and out and does not move the ball to at least change field position.

I am not looking at offence strictly looking at the defense dictating the other team’s offence. Now on to what I really think. I think Wade Phillips and the Broncos D will sale out and force Cam to beat them with his arm, if they do that I give the edge to Denver’s D over Carolinas O

As for Carolinas D they will do the same against Denver force Manning to beat you throwing which he just can’t do anymore.  Edge Carolinas D over Denver’s O

Special teams—kicking edge equal, Returning—edge Carolina

With this Carolina wins the game close game but pulls ahead late because they will cause a turnover on D and will stop the run on Denver, I don’t see Manning being able to beat them on his own.  Denver’s D will be worn out by the 4th with the lack of Denver being able to move the ball consistently.

Carolina 27

Denver 17

However, the x factor for Denver to win is to Have Zero turnovers and Cause turnovers, if Denver does this they have a shot at winning it would be close but this IMO is how the only way they can win the game.  If this happens.

Denver 24

Carolina 21

Good Luck..

I'm a lifelong Denver Bronco fan but I'm also a tarheel and live in the triangle. When Carolina plays I always root for them. However, your team is your team. I think a lot of you guys have good reason to be confident. The Panther's don't have any major flaws and we do. I feel confident with our defense matching up with your offense in the sense that they can prevent Cam from going off and holding you guys to 20 or so points. The big question mark is our offense. If we turn the ball over we are done. Hate to say it but it's true. That said, believe it or not this offense has the potential to play well in this game. Their issue is execution not talent. If not for poor execution and a cautious game plan they could have put up 30 on New England. If this was two years ago with our current defense then I would feel super confident but now I'm just hoping that we don't have a repeat of two years ago. It took me two weeks to get over that. Nobody gave us a chance against New England and we won so anything is possible.

Please do. By all means. 38 TD's versus 11 interceptions through 18 games. Not sure of your logic here.

Manning is the only Broncos player currently on their roster to have won a Super Bowl.  The rest of Denver's players that have played in the SB are limited to losing in the big game and not by a small margin either.

Not sure how that experience constitutes an advantage.

Maybe they figure that since they caved under the pressure two years ago, they're less likely to cave again? Somehow? Maybe...?

Josh Norman will put the fear of god into DT or Sanders, just like Kam Chancellor did in SB48 vs DT. That will pretty much take care of Denver's offense for the rest of the game.

It may stir up more apprehension than inspiration, most likely it will be a wash for Denver players.

Cam seems to be very comfortable on the big stage and his confidence seems to be infectious when it comes to the rest of the team.  They have come out of the gate ready to play and dominated their playoff opponents so far.

We will see if that carries over in two weeks, I'm willing to bet it does.

One thing I've noticed about your team is they never let the pressure get to them. Even when they went undefeated late into the season, they seemed relaxed and loose. I've especially noticed it in the playoffs. They're just out there having fun and dominating teams. Reminds me of the 2013 Seahawks.

Yeah, it is night and day from the Delhomme years.

Under stressful situations Jake tended to be hyper and not in a good way.

Watch and listen to Cam when he walks up to the line, he is calm cool and collected.   The rest of the Panthers seem to feed off this confidence.   That is critical, especially in the first few minutes of a big game.

Panthers are not one dimensional like Broncos last two opponents. Broncos knew the Pats and Steelers will throw 75% of the time making life as a defense easier.

Broncos are hurting at safety. You don't come back from a sprained knee and sprained ankle in two weeks. I like to see them try though. This will help Panthers expose that weakness when they do decide to air it out. Who will cover Ginn on a fly pattern or cover Olsen with a hurt safety? Talib will need safety help with Ginn's speed on deep patterns.

on the other side of the coin what happens when we punch Peyton in the mouth early ? Their biggest concern is not stopping our Offense, it's stopping our Defense which can hurt you with short field TO's and pressure on an immobile QB who may not finish the game.
