What will be the motivating factor for this team?

Chips:

1. No one said were legit until we beat both AZ and Seattle, and even then, there are a few vocal nay-sayers.

2.  There are several in the media who thinks that Denver's Defense is going to pound them into the ground.

3.  The story line of Payton going out a champion like Elway, c'mon, don't tell me the media wouldn't love that one!

4. Win a Super Bowl for themselves, the team, and the region.  Want to be a god for a while?  Win it, and you'll never buy a drink in a Charlotte bar again!

5. Stick it to the Falcons =)  C'mon, you know you want to after they beat us and acted like they won the Superb Owl...

This.  Will be shocked if something promising doesnt come out on media day.

Until then, I think the biggest chip is the "we can't score points on Denver's perfect defense" narrative.

Well, MJD and Ike Taylor did say on Dameshek's podcast that the Denver Broncos Defense had no one to fear on on our offense but Cam. And in a complete change of pace, noted that there's no need to bracket Olsen.

So I expect there will still be naysayers to add fuel to the fire.

I thought about this too with all of the talk about having to find a chip. Truth is professional athletes can find anything said or written about them to fuel the fire. Thing is, they'll get up for the game because it's the Super Bowl. No need for motivation there. The motivation comes in throughout the week, it's just a little echo that can keep them focused in the time of preparation.

On gameday, I think it goes back to what Roman Harper has been saying, "We're the best team." It makes sense if you watched the NFL highlights of the NFCCG. Before the team left the tunnel TD's speech to the team ended with a statement about "Leaving no doubt." So, on Super Bowl Sunday, I think you'll hear something to the extent of "We've been the best team when no one believed it, We've are the best team and everyone believes it. Now, it's time to leave no doubt."
