Perspective (too early?)

So I basically didn't sleep last night.  This game was torment.  Just really freaking painful.  But I just wanted to throw some perspective out there, which will be argued fairly stupidly by all the bandwagon, butthurt, emotional jerkfaces here to light bags of poop on the doorsteps.

1. Von Miller was an unstoppable force of nature.  Man, when they needed a play, there he was.  Dude was a well deserved game MVP.

2. We were out coached.  While our defense played really well for the entire game, Wade Phillips completely schooled Shula.  The way he not only used Von Miller, but how he was able to completely stop our run and Cam never had time to wait on those long forming routes.

3. We picked a terrible day to have a terrible game.  From the horrific mismatch between Miller/Rimmers, the multitude of penalties, the dropped picks, dropped passes.  Pro Football is a game of inches, and good lord, we kept missing those inches.

So we can be upset, bitter, and salty.  the "haters" are going to hate, call us names and basically talk a ton of poo.  But let's not forget we did have a great season.  We have a lot of wonderful building blocks in the future.  We had a terrible game against a team tired of hearing about how we were going to out physical them.

At least we'll have a pretty clear set of things to work on for next year.  Our door is just opening.  This team could be special.  Hopefully the humility of this game becomes just as important as having fun and being ourselves.

I disagree. This team is already special. We lost two games. Soon the drunken idiots will dissipate and won't return until their team starts winning again. It's an endless cycle that'll only end when we finally know what a catch is

Please don't say that lol. It could be forever. ;)

McD and Rivera were able to bring in a Defensive decent game plan and after moving away from the blitz over and over on the first drive, played a great game

Shula and Rivera however did not come up with a good Offensive plan and seemed to have no plan B.  The offense did not execute well, fumbled, sacks, interceptions, etc.

There aren't a half dozen teams in the league we could have beaten with 4 turnovers, a dozen penalties and countless other mistakes and we certainly arent going to beat anyone in the SB playing like that.  Maybe the stage won't be too big for us if we somehow manage to ever get back.

    • I was going to joke and have the Chiefs throw in 2 first rounders..... But as soon as the Mahomes/Bryce trade comes through we need to hit accept and have Mahomes on the very first flight out here; no negotiation needed lol.
    • It will be interesting this year to see if spending time with some of the best QBs and play callers in the league changed Wentz at all. I really think Mills is starter material. He wasn’t awful despite being apart of two dumpster fire seasons before Demeco got there. Plus he would have zero issues seeing over the line.
    • I feel like for once every one of those guys held back. And I think there is a 5'9 100% attitude guy that they're almost hesitant to speak out against. This is the fact of the matter, it's sports. When you win, fans cheer. When you lose, fans boo. Especially consistently year after year with no end in sight. Instead of just talking about us being the Bible belt maybe talk about how we've never once in the franchise history had back to back winning seasons. We love the team, we loved and celebrated Cam and Steve, and even guys like Jake that we love not just because of talent but because of his spirit as the face of the team. But they all won.  Fans pay a lot of money on gear, and on these overpriced tickets to go out and see a horrible product. I've slowed down on watching games because I realized I was spending 4 hours of my day getting annoyed watching a consistently bad product. Outside of a few hopeful games at the end of last year Panthers football hasn't even been enjoyable to watch. When I flip the channel to a Ravens/Eagles game it almost feels like I'm watching a different sport.  I wouldn't just focus so much attention on the city, I'd ask based on the results are they justified.
