Official Huddle 2016 Cargo Short Pledge

I admit, I have strayed from the cargo-wearing heyday that was my late-teens/early twenties. Somewhere along the way, I veered to the far less practical two-side pocket garment.

 

But alas, I pledge to bust out my trusty Abercrombie and Fitch cargo shorts, tears and frays and all, which may be fashionable at this point. I've already thought about the need for cargo shorts this year, as I'm heading to my first camping music festival since 2007. I can't imagine the fear and loathing I might encounter surrounded by tens of thousands of hippie bros without proper pocketage.

I don't own any cargos. Rolling with the 2 sided pockets or board shorts. Flops or barefoot majority of the time.

I think I may have solved the problem. Cargo shorts get the ladies.

I fondly remember my first pair of cargo shorts. I was 13. I had previously worn nothing but jorts, and most of said jorts were once pants (AND I HAD THE FRAY TO PROVE IT!)

I decided, after being ridiculed, that I needed some actual shorts. And then I saw them inside that JC Penny. It was a mild spring day and I had just gotten a new wallet that was struggling in my rear pocket of my last pair of jorts. I tried them on and fell into bliss. The sheer comfort and room. Then I realized how much I could carry around at all times. I'd never need to carry a bag around for small essentials ever again. I stepped out of that fitting room and you could hear a pin drop. Heads turned, babies stopped feeding to gaze upon the beauty. Men angrily tugged their girlfriends along ensuring them that I was much too young. My face said "child", my shorts said "man on a mission".


From that day forth, I've worn nothing but cargo shorts. In the past 13 years, I've regretted nothing. I'm told they look amazing on me.

Could be dangerous if there's something heavy in what normally would be the thigh pockets. Nothing worse than smashing your own balls like someone was hitting them with a ball pein hammer while you walk.

I have a pair of Michigan State Cargos'. I love em'. I load em down so badly, I need a belt AND suspenders to keep them up.

 

Which is funny. Cuz when I wear pants. I hate having anything in my pockets.

Nothing cool about cargo shorts after the age of 20. Sorry, I know some of yall that are pro cargo shorts posting in this thread are probably some decent, cool guys......but the cargo shorts gotta go. Next thing you're going to tell me is that you wear your hats backwards.
