Rams trade to Number 1

Of all the 32 teams in the NFL, who are the Carolina Panthers to judge Goff and Wentz? We took a QB 5 years ago who had 1 year of starting experience at a top level college, in an unconventional offense tailor-made for him that didn't resemble anything in the NFL at the time, had bounced around 3 teams in 4 years, had the laptop and alleged payoff scandals, and the most fake smile in the history of ever.

Don't get it twisted, I'm not carrying the water of the Rams, just saying remember history. Granted, we didn't trade up for Ace Boogie, but he also had more warts than either Goff or Wentz does now.

Cam Newton had more warts than either Goff or Wentz? Let me guess, Newton had more warts than Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, and Jake Locker combined!

The fact you think 2011 version of Cam Newton was more questionable than Goff or Wentz is good enough reason to ignore everything you post for the rest of history.

Putting Goff to the side for a moment (Newton was an immensely better prospect than Goff) but what on God's earth makes Wentz a better pro prospect than Newton?

Wentz has thrown 600 passes IN HIS ENTIRE COLLEGE CAREER. Wentz projects as a poor man's Ryan Tannehill at best. And of course, he did this at North Dakota State.

Could the Rams trade down 1 to the Browns and grab both the qb they want and even more mid round picks for value/depth?

Why would the Browns want to trade up 1 spot? What's their motivation to do that? The Rams can't select 2 QBs with the #1 pick, and they didn't give up all those picks to select an OT or CB/S. Everybody will be available for the Browns at #2 except 1 of the QBs.

Maybe they only view 1 of the QBs as a franchise player.

In all honesty, the Browns should pick the guy they DON'T think is the franchise QB in that case. They've been wrong for 20 years with the parade of 40+ QBs they've trotted out on the field, so staying put at #2 and hoping the Rams take your #1 QB is actually their best strategy
