My early depth chart of the Panthers atm

*5/3/16: CHECK BLOG FOR UPDATED CHART*

This is how I see where we stand right now. I believe Garrett will take either Norwood's or Bersin's spot. Most likely Norwood since Bersin is at least dependable at catching the ball. O-line depth is lacking.

I also think Boykin is our best outside guy atm then moving inside on nickel and dime packages with McClain or a rookie going outside. I don't think we throw a rookie to the wolves on the outside full time unless he greatly impresses during preseason. At safety, with Coleman's versatility, I think he goes to SS and Boston at FS. Cash and Marlowe backing up. The only thing lacking on D is LB depth.

I hope we add Boldin to our WR group. It would give us another sure-handed WR and we can use Ginn in the slot. We sorely need another WR with sure hands. Also, we should look at signing Scifres at punter. This is one overlooked position that is crucial to our field possession game.

Post your own too if you want. Would like to see others version as well.

I don't think all 3 of Fozzy, CAP, and Wegher make the final 53, I think we'll carry one less RB this year and have an extra CB or WR.

Fozzy was solid for us last year, but he's not a long term solution and I think we need to see what CAP and more importantly Wegher bring to the table in meaningful action.

I'm 100% on board with bringing in Boldin as a reliable pass catcher but more importantly, to replace Cotchery as the leader of a young and inexperienced recieving corps.

Ginn can't teach these young kids the nuances of playing the position, we need someone to step into Cotchery's role within that grouping and Boldin seems like a great fit

Something to watch in the coming few days.  After signing Beachum Joeckel is expendable and for a $6+ million one year salary they may have to trade him for a song.  We could absorb him as a one year rental/backup/tryout and if he does become half of the stud he was expected to be we can extend long term.  If not cut bait.

    • 5 straight completions in the 4th quarter to get into the red zone and then score a stand up rushing TD and celly in one of the best defenses faces to bring the score within 1 possession against the super bowl champs is "stunned" to you?
    • yes, if you read what I said - that was due to his record breaking 245 yard 4th quarter performance in garbage time when the Seahawks were already celebrating. If Bryce puts up big numbers in the 4th quarter, people like you are quick to call it garbage time stats but seem to get selective when other QB's do it because it doesn't fit your narrative.  also, I'm logical enough to admit that Drake is a great QB and his performance had a lot to do with his protection, play calling, and other aspects. The game does not fall completely on the QB. Just like how the Panthers were still in the game vs Seattle until Horn's penalty changed that. It is a team sport, so many factors, players, refs, coaches are involved and it only takes one thing to change the game. the obsession with Bryce is just nauseating at this point and if you pay attention on here, it's the same 10 users quoting and pieing each other. it's super weird and everywhere else you go, opinions on Bryce are trending upwards. the way the season ended, the vibe at the stadium, the performance, should have everyone excited about this next season. Idk, maybe I just look at life and my entertainment outlets differently than others.
    • Are we sure something hasnt happened to him because that seems pretty shitty to simply abandon this place
