Looks like we have 6 open roster spots to be filled before training camp after the draft and UDFAs. I'd bet we pick up a couple of the guys being released post-draft and sign a few of the tryout guys.

QB - Seth Lobato

Born: December 5, 1990 (age 25), Greeley, Colorado, United States
Height: 6′ 6″
Weight: 223 lbs

2014 UDFA signed by Dolphins, then spent time with Colts & Bucs

A 2014 pre-draft profile on a Packers blog

One of these QBs we keep bringing in year after year has to eventually stick.  DA can't play forever, and they aren't going to stick with Webb back there given his multi-faceted role.

I'm assuming that this is just a camp arm...

DA just signed an extension last year.  He's still got 2 years (2016 & 2017 under contract)

Agree. I've been a little surprised they don't keep one on the practice squad all the time, just to develop and have someone who knows your system.

I would generally agree, but Getts has definitively stated that he doesn't bring anyone to camp that he's not seriously considering.  I take that with a grain of salt, of course.  Obviously we don't want a journeyman camp arm, but if we're not seriously considering these prospects, then we need to bring in some QBs that can push DA and Webb.  Just wishful thinking, is all.

Missed out on Mike Rose from NC State.. Giants front office looking good so far. Carolina..? Eh.

6'6 D End who ran track, 4.5 insanely athletic. Local guy. From Greenville SC. NC State must be too big... If he went to Jacksonville State or san jose community college he might be wearing black n blue

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
