So, we're guaranteed at least 8 players in the top 100.

with Cam, Luke, Josh & KK sure to be there.

Add in Greg & Ryan Kalil.... we could have 10 on the list.    Sweet.

I really doubt Olsen makes it, PFF gave him one of the lowest graded TE blocking rankings they've ever given out. They really don't like him for some reason, I never especially noticed him being a poor blocker.

Olsen's a bad blocker - great effort, below-average results. This is an improvement from his previously-abysmal blocking but still not good.

That said, Greg's awesome and absolutely one of the top TEs in the current NFL. His role in the passing game definitely outweighs his shortcomings in the run game, and there really aren't very many TEs who can do both proficiently.

TD dropped because of "run defense" issues..mhmm...

Say that again?

Lol I remember everyone talking about how good Fitzgerald is as a run blocker before this game.. how he would crack down on linebackers.

Well they generally scheme around it instead of relying on Olsen as a key lead blocker on many plays, usually accomplished by pulling guards or the center. Make no mistake, Olsen has always been a terrible blocker.

They have given him the highest passing grade fwiw. I guess they just think Olsen's blocking is really that bad.

They gave Olsen the lowest run blocking grade they have ever given a TE in their 10 year history last year. The second worst run blocking grade from last year was given to Ed Dickson. Needless to say, that's an area we can improve upon.

lol... Greg Olsen was NOT the worst run-blocking TE in the league in the last 10 years last year.

Those people are idiots enamored with a "system".

Pff grading system is horrible.

It's definitely not perfect but it's all we've got. They are the only place that grades every player on every play and publishes the results. That's worth something.

I think it's a mistake to take their grades and rankings as gospel, but using them as a generality is fine. If a player is near the top then they were good, if they are in the middle then they were average and if they are at the bottom then they were bad. Trying to get more specific than that is probably not smart, for example saying the 6th ranked player is definitively better than the 8th best player, but in general I've found players are ranked in the vicinity that their play says they should be.

Did Greg have the worst run blocking season of the last 10 years in 2015? Probably not. Was he a poor run blocker in 2015? More than likely he was.

One year they had Casey Haywars (a rookie at the time) as the highest rated corner.

You have to take PFF grades with a grain of salt.
