Not really.

Kimbo brought a lot of fans to MMA. Don't act as if MMA had such a clean image at first. There were freakshows at that time.

Kimbo really sucked at MMA and Dana white even said himself he was not a fan of Kimbo. He did indeed bring in a lot of ignorant fans though. If you wanted freakshows you should have watched Pride. Some dudes were so roided up it was crazy.

Lmao, Brock was an oversized roid bully. Believe what you want. The UFC was so desperate for a cash cow at HW that they gave him a title shot so fast. I'm sorry, but a guy who's afraid to get hit doesn't deserve to be champion. Carwin should have ended his run earlier.

As for Couture, he was on his way out. I love the guy but Randy's success at his age indicated how shallow the HW division was at the time.

And yet, that Ultimate Fighter was and still is the most watched Ultimate Fighter in the show's history. Don't get butthurt. You just can't handle the fact that Ferguson played a role in getting MMA more fans.

You really know nothing about the UFC do you?  They have been testing for PEDs since 04.

And yet Dana tried to cash in on the craze. Shocking, eh? So stop. Dana White is the most hypocritical douchebag on the planet (who recently banned and un-banned Ariel for doing his job as a journalist). This is the same moron who stated Women's MMA would never be successful and had no place/future in the sport. A month later he signed Ronda Rousey. Yeah, I could give two poos about what Dana White says, you Zuffa zombie.

Surely you're not bashing Pride right after The UFC tried to do damage control and media PR for Jon Jones and Anderson Silva.

Get the fug outta here with this poo.

Dana simply gave the fans what they wanted. He'll the guy could not even win TUF. Same with Womens MMA and he was wrong about that one. So I guess a guy can't have a opinion and still give people what they want. It's not like he built up the whole sport to what it is today. It's even been reported that Dana had no problem with Arial but he was a douche to one of the owners of the UFC so he was banned. Guess what you don't get to be a tool to the boss of any company with out anything being done about it. Like I said you really don't know what your talking about.

Kimbo would have been a monster when the UFC first started.  Anybody remember those days?  It was crazy.  Fighters would fight more than one fight a night (if they won their first one) and there were no weight divisions.  They had some crazy fights back then.  And the rules were pretty loose.

I know nothing? Lulz. That's really cute, noob.

Brock had a severe case of Diverticulitis. Guess how he got it, Einstein? Anabolic Steroids. I really loath fans like yourself. You claim to be a long time fan but really you're superficial fan who only knows about UFC revisionist history.

The UFC has protected their assets before, and they will again. You're as ignorant as they come if you believe otherwise. Cycling off PEDs isn't difficult at all.

Noob lol been here much longer than you bro. Also low fiber cause Diverticulitis dumbass.

I remember.  There was seriously no rules.   I remember PPV was going to just stop offering their events unless they added SOME kind of rules.  They finally did, but it was completely BRUTAL before that.   This was like the 90's, also around the same time that K1 Kickboxing tried to make a splash (which was entertaining to be fair).

I know I'm in the minority but I've never been a fan of UFC.  They almost always end up locked up on the mat in some kind of hold for 5 minutes. If I want to see 2 halfnaked sweaty dudes hugging each other on the ground ill watch Brokeback mountain or Google gay porn.

This is just my opinion, if you like UFC have at it

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
