It would be really annoying to be a reporter these days and feel the need to tweet every 5 minutes about every drill or trivial incident.

On the other hand, you can do like Person probably does and just copy other reporters tweets while he sits around playing Pokemon go

I would kill to have a job where i get paid to tweet durring panthers practice

im over here in VA building roads in the summer

Just in comparison to writing meaningful things. It's cool to see the updates but I imagine a crowd of dudes tweeting the exact same things buried in their phones all day. If I was a reporter, and I have no ability to write, I would take the approach that the other 8 dudes tweeting pass breakups have it covered and I'll be constructing an interesting narrative to tell.

Am I the only one concerned about Tolbert's fumbling problems? He can't block well, he gets stuffed at the 1 yard line, now if fumbles are going to be a problem of his then what's the point of keeping him?

I don't like him, and hope he doesn't make the team.  Like you said, he whiffs on blocks, he fumbles way too often, and isn't that great of a runner.

First day of pads and people already asking if they should be 'worried' about the rookie DT.  Comical.

While I'm not asking that, I do think it's worth pointing out that although interior dline is considered one of the bigger adjustment positions from college to pros, both KK and Star flashed early and often as rookies from OTAs to rookie camps, mini-camps, and TC.

I haven't heard or read any reports of any positive impressions regarding Butler yet.  Yes, it's only a couple of days into camp, so he's got a lot of time to show something, but I've got the feeling that he isn't going to be much leverage in the KK negotiations.

Tolbert had a fantastic 2013 and has fallen off since then - his huge whiffs on the Seattle onside kick/Ginn's TD run vs AZ and fumbles in the Super Bowl really stand out at the moment. I understand that he brings a degree of 'versatility' to the offense but I think Carolina would be better served with someone who can actually block, even if it's at the cost of a few receptions or rushes. That's my armchair opinion of course and I trust the management and coaches, but it's hard not to wonder if there isn't someone more productive out there.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
