This is literally the worst evaluation of our talent I've read all off season.

It's not an evaluation. He just wants to dampen people's enthusiasm.

That's how sad, pathetic and worthless a poster he is, that his main source of enjoyment is trying to rain on other people's parade.

Can't imagine he has much of a life if this is his idea of fun.

The good side, of course, is that his "evaluation" means nothing, just as it did last season.

I expect by December, he'll be sitting at home wishing the team were losing again so he didn't look like such a dumbass. Meanwhile, the rest of us will actually be enjoying watching our team play well.

i feel like being an asshole this morning so i'll post cpantherking's 2015 season prediction

Quote

@ Jags - L : Panthers cannot put up more than 17 points. Rivera continues his poor opening game record with conservative coaching that leads the Jags to a TD in the 4th quarter to win the game.

Texans - L: Offense goes no where with the Texans sitting on the running game. Need receiving threats.

Saints - W: Pressure Brees into turnovers. Panthers running game knifes through the Saints even with an 8 man front.

@ Bucs - W: Low scoring game. Jameis is punished all day. Panthers get some help in the air with Funchess.

@ Seahawks - L: Rivera remains win less against Seattle and win less after the Bye. Continues to get outcoached.

Eagles - L: Panthers can not keep up with the scoring of the Eagles as the receivers continue to miss opportunities.

Colts - L: Panthers again lose due to the inability to put up more than 20 points a game.

Packers - L: Same story. Packers 37 - Panthers 19. Defense is on the field for 40 minutes. Rivera remains win less against the Packers.

@ Titans - W: Panthers pull out a last minute drive to win 24-18.

Redskins - W: Panthers can pass the ball against this team. Run away victory.

@ Cowboys - L: Rivera gets out coached. No passing game. Panthers fail to keep pace on the score board. Greg Hardy has a field day with the Panthers always playing from behind and having trouble with receivers coming up with critical plays.

@ Saints - L: Saints unload. Panthers unable to keep pace with the passing game. Rivera out coached.

*** Panthers are at 4-8 on the season. Brown, Cotchery, Dickson and Harper are released. Panthers bring up Bersin and re-sign Lucas for 2 TE sets with the passing game. Sign a S and WR from another PS. Funchess and Norwood start. Ginn, Bersin, and newly signed WR rotate at 3/4. Rivera and Shula open playbook and let Cam audible and take shots down field. The Riverboat makes his predictable appearance.

Falcons - W: Passing game catches fire. Panthers blowout Falcons.

@ Giants - W: High scoring shoot out. Must win.

@ Falcons - W: Stomp Falcons again scoring over 30 points.

Bucs - W: Finish the season off strong with a dominant game on defense and offense.

Panthers finish the season 8-8. Saints @ Falcons determine the NFC South champion. If Saints win, they finish 9-7 and win the NFC South. If Saints lose, then the Panthers, Falcons, and Saints all finish 8-8. Panthers win the NFC South with a 5-1 division record; Saints 4-2; Falcons 3-3.

Gettleman gets praised by fans again for putting together a team that went 4-8 to start the season and finished another season with a losing record, but the threepeat division championship is heralded regardless of the Panthers getting trounced by the Packers or Seahawks in the playoffs.

Panthers fans hope for more of the same in the 2016 season and declare it an NFC South dynasty.

Funchess couldn't beat out Cotchery for snaps last season, all of a sudden he's the number 2?

We need a deep threat on the other side of Kelvin.

Fun Fun actually came on pretty strong last year once things got rolling.   I think people often forget what a good rookie season is...if a guy doesn't have an abnormally great one.  Fun Fun was just as good as Shaq in reality as a rookie IMO.

also, don't forget...this isn't a real depth chart.  It is the PR/Marketing one....not the coaches.  Ron has stated as much before.

FYI...  This depth chart is literally made by the assistants and such,  as the coaches don't have time for it yet.  They have actually left off starters in the past on accident.

Hence "don't read too much into it" which was gonna happen anyway but hey...

What are everyone's final predications for number of each position kept on the final 53? This is ignoring who we keep just how many of each position. Mine is

3 qb

3 rb

1 fb

6 wr

3 te

9 ol

4 de

5 dt

6 lb

5 cb

4 s

1 k

1 p

1 ls

1 flex spot I'm not which position it goes.

No Stephen Hill? Wow. I thought he was coming into form. Hm. Guess Voth was on to something.

Hill not appearing on it at least gives some validity to what Voth said about him. Everyone gave him grief for that but given the extent of the ligament injuries and his having issues with it it seemed a pretty reasonable statement to make.

But you guys said Voth was just hunting clicks

Okay... which one of you is Bill Voth? ;)

i don't normally endorse digging through someone's post history to find stupid poo from the past because, let's face it, we've all posted stuff that looks idiotic in retrospect.  but this guy was literally posting a calendar year ago about how he'd be over the moon if the panthers offense scored 400 points and what a great season it would be if the panthers ended the 2015 season as serious super bowl contenders.  which is exactly what the hell happened but he's here every day talking about how a 15-1 record and super bowl berth is a miserable failure.

i mean poo even growl has been somewhat complimentary of the young DBs, particularly bradberry.

It's weird, almost like he's Hurney's nephew who got cut off after Uncle Badgm got canned.

What's even more confusing, is he knows a little about football, but wants the Panthers run like the Dolphins.  I don't get it at all.

He was a very green rookie last season. Cotchery was a 10 year vet. Funchess would probably win the vote as most improved Panther. To those paying attention, Funchess praise is no surprise.

Williams needs to be starting over Remmers.

Ginn should not be starting. Funchess needs to prove he can be the #2 with everything they traded for him.

Norwood and Bersin should not even be on there. Norwood is awful. Waste of a trade. Bersin is an owner's favorite. Need to see what Hill and Garrett can do. We know what we have (or don't have) in Norwood, Bersin, and Brown.

Fozzy is a waste at #2. Tired of him being the coaches pet. CAP is the GMs pet and coaches can not trust him to hold on to the ball. Wegher should be the #2 RB.

Ealy will need to be replaced as the starter early in the season as he often messes up assignments. Not a single DE that we can trust assuming Charles Johnson is slow and continues to get hurt.

The DBs are all a mess. Kurt Coleman at SS is a disaster waiting to happen. Tre Boston has yet to show he is disciplined enough to man the FS position. The 2 rookies at CB are going to be a nightmare for this team. Neither of them are physical CBs, and they are weak against the run. May be the worst DB set up for the Panthers in their history.

Weak depth on the OL, DL, CB, and S. I hope the starters for those units can stay injury free.
