Man, this guy is 30 and in his prime.  I don't get this at all.  This would be like the Bucs releasing Revis, and the Pats signing him.  Except it's us signing Lewis.  If he's not hurt.

Meh.....I don't Getts is interested in any more temporary band-aid fixes. He wants to put the kids out there and see if they got the melons to grown and thrive in our system. No more "mercanies" as Gettleman would say.

I know he had the hip injury. Is there any other reason why he was cut? I always heard that he was a great CB and one of the most underrated CBs in the league. I don't see us signing him though. I believe our staff is happy with our rooks.
