Yeah two of the best Dlineman in franchise history want out. No big deal. Bunch of bums. I wanted Fox gone just so we could keep Jenkins. And whats worse all we got was a lousy third round pick. I hate this FO right now.

That's 2 of 53 players. Wait! Let me do some math here. That's a whopping 3.7%. In like forever.

Doesn't matter who it is, you said "A lot of players on this team have voiced there wanting to get out." And built a bogus argument on that. :smash:

No one who has never been in the locker room or meeting rooms should ever assume they know what is going on in there. Drives me nuts. :willy_nilly:

Maybe because they don't trust the safeties at this point? Do you blame them? Just a thought.

Indy had Bob Sanders. End of that discussion.

I'm more upset that I don't see anyone swarming to the ball. We heard all preseason from the players that that was the foundation of Meeks' defense. Where'd it go??? :conf:

I don't buy "maybe because they don't trust the safeties" because they play loose coverage when they're near the endzone. Our DB's get abused w/t underneath routes all gm because of the way they're playing the WR's.

That I agree with. I was just trying to figure out the "why" of it all.

That was 2/11 of the starters on D (which is the main issue with this team) They both wanted to get out because Fox is unable to create a creative scheme. He has been running the same BS since he got here. Yeah it work 02 and 03 but as you can see our D has slowly been getting worse. This is because there is so much gametape of this D that O coordinators know exactly what we will do.

There has been no tweaks no new wrinkles. He is set in his ways and isn't going to change. Pep and Jenkins know this they know they will be more successful else where, both individually and with that team. Fox is a sinking ship and he is taking this team with him.

    • CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Dave Canales said Friday that starters will play in the first two preseason games, stopping just short of admitting he made a mistake last season holding them out. The plan includes playing quarterback Bryce Young, who got off to a historically bad start to the 2024 regular season that got him benched after opening 0-2. Carolina opens their preseason schedule Friday at home against Cleveland, followed by an August 15 road game at Houston and August 21 home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.   Canales said he will evaluate after the first two games whether starters will play in the third game. "Kind of going through it last year, we had a mix of veteran players, but [this is] predominantly a pretty young team,'' said Canales, who has at least six new starters to the defense that was the worst in the league a year ago. "I just can't pass up the opportunities. The reps in games are valuable. "[But] it goes to the night before, when guys know they're going to go out there, they've got to make a decision to play football. So it starts the night before with the prep. You start thinking about your plan, taking care of your body, making sure you get your rest.''   https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45880676/panthers-starters-play-first-2-preseason-games-says-coach
    • You call the Cowboys purely for information, but we don't have the assets to pull off any realistic trade. Also, even if they would consider any trade, it's more likely they want to do it with an AFC team.
