dude you literally just tried to side with a poster on this forum that we don't know if he's mentally challenged or actually doing a pretty solid troll job.

Fozzy Whitaker, Brenton Bersin, Philly Brown, Scott Simonson, Ed Dickson, Gino Gradkowski, Mike Remmers, Chris Scott, Wes Horton, Robert McClain and Colin Jones all need to be let go.

you lost me at Mike Remmers needs to be let go..

this completely contradicts your point.. you're saying why keep people that will never see the field.. yet you're cutting a starter on the field for our 15-1 season last year.....(????????)  all I can say is that im glad you're not the GM

Sorry to revisit the original topic here, but I definitely think it's risky waiving Garrett.  As solid as Bersin is its hard to ignore Garrett's playmaker potential.  Could a surprise 6 be Benjamin, Funchess, Ginn Jr., Bersin(OR)Brown, Byrd, and Garrett?

0% chance Philly Brown is cut.

I don't see any dead weight on that roster. Everybody contributes, even the 3rd string QB! I do wish we upgrade the DE position with other team's cuts (or Hardy, lol).

Comparing Hardy Jr to even the finest DE cut tomorrow is like asking a man to compare Kate Upton and Hillary Clinton.

While likely not by much I'd venture to say the chances are in fact greater than 0%.  I'm a fan of Philly, but if it's truly Cotchery's role we are looking to fill I'm saying Brown(OR)Bersin.  And since it's highly unlikely Bersin beats out Brown you cut Bersin to keep Garrett.  Obviously there are possible issues with this scenario, special teams contribution comes to mind, but I don't think it's the wildest idea either considering Gentleman's comments on his own philosophy.

No reason what so ever to keep 5 RB. Between Cam, Stewart and Tolbert they eat up 80% of all touches. We don't need 3 other ones taking up a roster spot

The argument for Wegher is special teams. It has to come from somewhere else if not him and it would have to provide the same special teams position. .  Plus it was less than 2 years since injuries showed why we could need 5.

I also remember the not-long-ago days of Darrin Reaves and Chris Ogbonnaya being our RBs after Stewie, DeAngelo, AND Fozzy were down with injuries. Why carry 5 RBs indeed.......

We have Byrd and Fozzy for special teams. Two year ago we didn't have CAP, and theirs a little thing called the practice squad if the running backs start dropping like flies.

Wegher is a tackler not a returner. He does all the other things people don't notice on ST .   He lead the team in ST snaps this preseason.  Is it enough? Not sure but you are looking at things in a very simplistic manner.

It isn't risky in the slightest. Garrett could pass through waivers 6 times.
