Panthers Roster - The Good and The Bad

With Mayo's improvement, and the number of LB on the roster, I would actually consider a trade for Klein. I never thought I would say this, given how Klein stepped in for Luke last year, but if we got something good in return (either a draft pick or an upgrade  at Safety/DE), I would support it. If the interest in Klein is there, I hope the front office consider a move. But I highly doubt DG will pull the trigger so close to the season start.

Not a bad thought. Mayo's emergence does make Klein a but expendable, especially so considering he is a UFA in March.

Nicely done.

I am surprised DBs didn't show their face. Thabkfully Jeremy doesn't get his opinions from the likes of ESPN and other mainstream media

I am honestly not worried about the DBs. Tre and Kurt are an upgrade over Kurt and Roman.

I am telling you, Bradberry is a baller. And if Worley struggles Bene will move to the outside where he looked like his old self in the preseason. Good enough to cover the right side of the field.

Disagree on Daryl.  He's a solid backup RT.  Didn't allow a sack on that side during the Preseason.  On the other hand, LT is an issue for him.  Hence the reason they kept Hawkins.  RT is why they kept Williams, in case Remmers Super Bowls again.

He knows it to. Told the media during camp he is a RT.

    • At the moment? Absolutely not. Maybe if they drop the next three in a row and go into the deadline at 3-6 I can see an argument to be made to move Rico as he's on a 1yr deal. I'd rather keep Chuba's contract though and roll with ETN + JB next season. The team will have plenty of time to see how JB is looking going into the offseason a year-plus after his surgery to know whether or not they need to plan for another direction.
    • I forgot to mention my thoughts on the rushing grade! 😮 He ran his ass off both weeks. I can't remember the stat offhand but didn't he have something crazy like 120+ yards after contact vs. Dallas? Against Miami he had lanes as wide as the entirety of I-95 to run through which is why his rushing grade wasn't as high as this week's. He's ran like a man possessed and going to earn himself some money in the offseason.
    • I'm not sure how much I'm changing mid year, especially when we are seeing some success.    Most Pass Rushers are physically gifted. Scheme and personnel help, but you gotta have the Jimmys and Joes, especially at that position.    We will likely lose games when the other team can throw for 400 yards, and has multiple high level receivers, but I think at this point in the development of our franchise, we have to be ok with that. You can't address every single issue at once. Really looks like we have plugged some holes on offense, and definitely in run defense. In the next draft, if we hit on a CB, an ILB and a Pass rusher, we will be pretty dangerous.
