well somewhat.  Worley seems to be struggling and the 3rd corner in Sanchez was cut and not on the 53.  I cant help but think if we kept norman and drafted bradberry if carolina would be in a better position to make another run at a SB.

If we had J-no...we wouldn't be so worried about our pass rush and safety lapses. Plus we lost peanut.

Having said that, Boston has been laying the wood and shutting down the edges.

Coleman is struggling.

Yeah, it's on Boston..  Even Rivera said so.   Not sure how anyone can disagree

Well Rivera disagrees with you. You need to write what he said down and then read it. You seem to have selectively listened to him.

Boston did need more depth, but he was not responsible for covering Smith. He was responsible for closing the window in the post to make it harder on Smith and easier on Bradberry. Even if Boston were in position, Bradberry got beat on Smith's break and an underneath safety would have not made much of a difference outside of delaying Gabbert to wait for Smith to pass by Boston into the open window created by a badly beaten Bradberry. The DEs had no pass rush, so Gabbert could have easily waited for Smith to run into the next zone with a CB who had no trail position on his man.

Bradberry bit on Smith's outside move, which turned Bradberry's hips in anticipation of a fade. This was what keyed Gabbert to Smith and Smith left Bradberry behind with a post route.

So, while Boston did make a mistake by failing to get enough depth and biting on the wrong receiver, this does not absolve Bradberry of losing his trailing position with his poor technique. Bradberry gets just as much blame if not more for that play.

Norman allowed the safeties to cheat last year because he did not turn his hips by playing afraid. The safeties do not have that luxury this year with CBs making mistakes.

Let's also realize that pre snap Boston communicates with Bradberry to cover the single wide deep while he sits on the TE. Bradberry does not change the call and assures Boston he will have Smith deep. Boston should know better, but he trusts Bradberry to get his job done. This is why you see Boston creeping up pre snap and Bradberry backing off.

Kuechly was disgusted with Bradberry after that play for allowing so much separation. You can not lose your trailing position in coverage.
