It's a long season, tell me something positive.

I'm bummed out but I'm not depressed.

We can name a laundry list of things we didn't do right. Sometimes you have to take a step back, look at the big picture and focus on the positives. (Understanding we have to work on our weaknesses)

1-First and foremost. All mistakes are correctable. As Coach said we really did "shoot ourself in the foot"... yea in this game we pulled a "Burress" or a "Talib"

2- We were without a pillar of our offense. If some don't realize, J-Stew is as important to our offense as one leg on a table. CAP did a decent job, Fozzy and Tolozier were there. All three RB's combined can't reproduce the kind of production and just as important... threat that  28 brings.

3- Our defense played well. The scoreboard might not reflect it but we made good stops. I was really encouraged by the play of Bradberry. The more experience he gets, the more solid he becomes.

4- Offensively we are talent rich and dangerous. Sure we made a lot of mistakes, we were not in sync from bottom to top, but the talent is there.

5- We will rebound and become more focused. Let's keep it real, everything that went on during the week effected EVERYONE. This board was effected, the guy that sweeps the floor was effected and you dam well better belive every person in this organization didn't have full focus on this game. There are more important issues than football.  (sometimes) This time was one of them.

Take a deep breath. Again, it's a long season of ups and downs. Steady trending upwards wins the day normally.

It's difficult... not looking for excuses but I challenge you to talk about something positive you saw.

the early season is unpredictable

the steelers who looked invincible are getting absolutely handled in philadelphia right now

the rams are in the middle of hanging 31 (make that 38) on the bucs right now after looking like they didn't have a pulse on offense in weeks 1 and 2

you don't truly know what you're looking at until midseason basically

I had to work and couldn't watch so sorry if this is a stupid question. But is there a reason why no one is talking about how bad we are at protecting the football? We out gained our opponents every game but stupid penalties and a terrible turnover differential screwed us.

Our defense is much better than advertised and has not been the issue, Defense has only been responsible for giving up a combined 20 points over the last two games. Offense and Special teams gave up 17 points against the 49'ers and 12 points today.  Defense only giving up 10 points per game over the last two games is really impressive even if our pressure getting to the QB hasnt been the greatest. it's also far from the cause of the issue.

Other good news is we played two of the 3 toughest teams we will play all year over the first 3 games, and we wont have our next major team to face till seattle on december 4th, the NFC south for the next 3 games, and arizona flying to us cross country after the Bye is just what the doctor ordered to right the ship.

we have the best offense and defense of any of the NFCS teams, and that's not open for debate.

You lost the challenge.

I will say that one interception could be described as a "Hail Mary " at the end of the half. The other was just a garbage time pick, no effect on the game at that point.

That's what I'm talking about.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
