Whatever the problem its not talent. We have plenty of talent spread out. Both us and the Cardinals are suffering from some type of lag and its on the coaches to fix it.

Our defense so far this year mirrors Rob Ryan's defenses. We are stacking the box with 8 guys, sending 7, one of which is always a safety or corner, leaving the already talent poor secondary in 1 on 1 situations. We have never blitzed this much under Rivera before. Yes, I understand that we are blitzing because our front 4 aren't creating havoc by themselves...but hell sometimes you have to back off and let the line do their thing. They will get better faster than the secondary will.

I'm not going to read the whole thread because the Panthers have me depressed as poo, so hopefully it hasn't been said...

This loss was once again on the shoulders of the offense. If they would have executed, even a little bit, the defense wouldn't be out there getting dogged play after play.

Yes, the DB's had their share of woes, but they usually do in our zone defense. That was to be expected. But our offense has the personnel to impose its will on opposing defenses, and we're not even coming close to doing that.
