This is a safe space for positivity.

Here's a thought: Atlanta plays at Denver and Seattle the next two weeks. Give Atlanta those two Ls and if Carolina takes care of bidness against Tampa and the Saints, we'll both be 3-3.

I still have faith that this team is good enough, strong enough and dog'onit, people like them.

The season is far from over. Going 15-1 spoiled our expectations a little.

Now, in order to recoup from this mess we're currently in, the team chemistry has to pick up. How does that happen?

fug me I don't have an answer for that.

Last year they were playing loose and having fun. This year they seem flat and are pressing too hard. That leads to mistakes.

I've been saying this since Sunday. Aren't both of those away games too? I know Denver definitely is.

Affirmative. Every year the Panthers and Falcons have the same away games. Denver, Oakland, Seattle, rams, and whoever they play in the nfc east

No poo? I was not aware of that.

i will say I do believe ATL's offense is legit. Can't wait to see how they do against those teams in those environments. I'm fully expecting them to be 3-3.

Edit: Denver's QB situation is concerning

At least fall is here

LOL.

I presume you're a Tar Heel fan?  At least the cardiac kids are providing some excitement.  I've been following them since Bill Dooley was their coach.  Shula's game plan reminds me of those days.... sadly.

Serious question....

Do you feel the Panthers were set up by the NFL by making us replay the Super Bowl as the season opener?

I can't help but wonder what our season would look like had we opened the season at home like division champs are supposed to.  To throw us back into the eye of the storm that was so contentious and had so much drama wrapped around it - the deck was really stacked against our guys having to watch all the fanfare prior to the game, in Denver with a crowd that was insanely riled up.

I think if we were at home, we probably would have won and been off to a much different start.  I may be completely wrong but I can't help but think we got F-ed by the NFL.

Yeah I noticed it a few years back.  And Tampa and New Orleans play the opposite. All of our away games are their home games

I don't because of that Denver defense. I don't like Denver but that defense is legit. Their QB situation is shaky, but the defense keeps them and wins the game. I think they might have a chance beating Seattle.

Denver Defense is legit but ATL have weapons to win especially against the secondary.

    • The Falcons have 2 significant offensive line injuries to start the 2025 season. Right tackle Kaleb Mcgary (who is the blindside protector for Penix since he is left-handed) is going to miss significant time, and it's looking more like it may be all season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-expect-kaleb-mcgary-to-miss-significant-time https://x.com/BKsquared7/status/1959285822236107013. Also, the top backup and swing tackle, Storm Norton (cool name BTW) is having ankle surgery and may miss half the season. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/falcons-ot-storm-norton-out-6-8-weeks-after-ankle-surgery I don't root for injuries, but its also hard to be too sympathetic given how badly injuries have hit us in recent years. We definitely need to get that W in week 3 for our home opener at BOA. Despite our collective frustration at not being able to attend TC and then having boring preseason games, ultimately the most important objective of the preseason is to enter Week1 healthy, and we have at least done that. Hopefully the depth we think we have at Oline either shines through or isn't needed. Many other teams are in a bad spot with their offensive lines before the season even starts. For once, we aren't in that situation.
    • That roster was billed as a super smart and strong unit for a young QB….until he sucked though.   it didn’t have superstars but it had proven vets that checked well all the safe boxes and it was universally agreed the Panthers were putting him into position to succeed. BY just doesn’t fit a traditional O because he isn’t built like a traditional QB.  And he still doesn’t.   CJ Stroud would have had more success here than Bryce with that cast.   CJ just has the tools that fit the NFL more easily.  Young can find success but I have always argued it would take a Bryce centric plan (which we have never attempted IMO)
    • looks like the Lions and Bangles should forget about the playoffs, trade everyone they can, and start over.
