Demarcus Ware has no sacks yet this year so I guess he's a lazy piece of trash too?

Ok last season peppers had 6 sacks come vs oakland and detroit... Peppers completly dissapears from games, Ware doesnt, I wouldnt have made this post if I thought sacks are the only stats to judge a de by. But its like hes not even there, and yes to be honest with the way Odom has been playing on every down on every whistle im surprised he doesnt have 9 sacks right now. The first game he should of had 4. No physically odom is not better and frankly neither is Ware. With Peppers standing at 6 ft 7 running wr speed, and weighing about 260... He should get more then 1 sack a game, and hes not even producing that.

can be an everdown defensive end recording 7 sacks in 2 games, with the Bengals defensive line. Then theres no excuse for Peppers not to do the same on a more talented defensive line making a boatload more money. It truly makes me sick and I hope hes gone next season. The one sack he has is meaningless and was no where to be found vs Atlanta. Get rid of his a22 and use his money to find character players who dont take downs off let alone games.

um, the Bengals actually have a very good defensive coordinator who likes to punch other teams in the mouth.

Peppers was the only guy who played defense week 1. If you watch week 2 he played but Atlanta did there best to take the one threat away outside of the 2 LBs who don't pose much of a threat on the QB in our system.

um, again...Meeks ran probably the most vanilla defense in all of football in Indy. He isn't aggressive. The Bengals DO actually have a good defensive coordinator who is getting that team going in the right direction. The Bengals and Carolina are two different teams who have different style of how to defend. I wouldn't give Meeks all the credit for what Freeny does...he is just a great one dimensional DE.

I see him chipped on longer passing plays, and singled on quick passes. You can pretty much tell what the offense is doing. To bad we can't do anything about it.

Yeah but you know...that happens to just about all DEs in the NFL. I used to make excuses for him too but now I'm just sick. Those things don't stop all the guys who used to trash talk Pepp and Ruck the week before a game. Those DEs are all still playin at their high level. Well, except for Strayhan of course.

I think someone already pointed this out, but Odom got those sacks against a backup tackle that clearly wasn't up to the task. The most sacks Odom has ever had in a season is 8 back in 2007, so to have 5 in one game is clearly a fluke

As an aside, the Panthers tried to sign Antwan Odom last offseason but couldn't get him.
