How many wins would it take to convince you?

Literally the exact definition of a fair weather fan lmao. Me? I'll be right there watching as they get this ship turned around.

I can understand his frustrations and all, but yeah, this is pretty much the definition of a fair weather fan. I've seen the 1-15 season, I've seen 2-14, but Ive also seen two super bowls and multiple playoff wins vs the Cowboys (those are just always great). Just like in life you take good with bad.

Just a question for some of the people who are kinda swearing off the panthers until they win again.

I understand not wanting to buy tickets to the games (I live in raleigh so going every weekend is not very easy for me) and not buying merch, but is spending 3 to 3.5 hours on a sunday really that much of a time drain commitment? I'm down on the Panthers this season too, but I won't stop watching the games. I may not get decked out and wear my jersey, hat and matching socks (styling AND profiling), but I'll still watch the game. IF they win, then fug yeah. If they lose, it's not the first time I've seen it.

Either way, hope to have everyone back in full force if the Panthers win more games.

that's called a fairweather fan, no matter how you spin it bro.

Says the guy that joined last year? and I'm the fair weather fan? I've been here through a 2-14 season have you?

A fair weather fan is the team that fans suddenly become Miami Heat fans because of Lebron James, I dont jump teams because this is the hot team this year, and I dont stop following the team I still check scores and such during the game and how the team proceeds during the week.  I just voice my disdain for the lack of effort out of the team the only way I know how. by not supporting them financially.  my time is valuable, my money is valuable.  If the product on the field is poo, why should I spend my valuable free time(which I have little of) and money to support a shitty team?

I have a big issue with the team this year because I feel like our biggest issue isnt talent, it's just straight up want to and heart!  I say that because of all the mistakes, all the costly penalties, boneheaded plays, and turnovers that have cost us so far this season.  We've had a chance to win every game except Atlanta, but we just keep shooting ourselves in the foot.  I dont want to support a team and players where I care more about them winning then they do.

If the Panthers stop shooting themselves in the foot, and actually play like a disciplined team I may give them more of my time, but we have been our own biggest enemy this season, to the point where now we would be lucky to make the playoffs.

When I have to work nights on weekend, that 3-3.5 hours is about all the free time I have that day before I have to go into work after waking up, I'd much rather not be spending it getting mad at the Panthers laying another turd on the field.

Beating NO means nothing to me if we don't play good ball.  I need consistently good football and that intense swagger from 15.  A dub is a dub though, and we need to start collecting them like they've been discontinued.

This team as is doesn't deserve to be a playoff team.  But if we can win 2 of the next 3 while actually playing good football(ie not burning timeouts, making adjustments etc) I'll feel better.

Stewart being back is huge so I hope he can stay healthy because he's a bigger piece of the O than most people give him credit for.

lol

very lazy of you to judge ones fandom based on when they registered on a message board. even if that was relevant, I was part of the huddle before the server crash and have been on this forum under multiple names since then. maybe the name Bwood will ring a bell.

a fairweather fan is someone that chooses to root for their team when they do well, but not when they are losing. they won't change teams, but they only wear the panther gear loud and proud when they are doing well - and will quickly put everything back in the closet after a few losses. you gave the definition of a bandwagon fan AKA someone who jumps from good team to good team.

it doesn't cost poo to turn the game on with friends or family and sit back and enjoy the show. you don't have to buy new gear or even tickets every year. like I said in my post above, being a fairweather doesn't mean you aren't a fan - but you are not in the same category of fandom as someone that never stops rooting on their team. if being called a fairweather fan bothers you, then that's on you. I'm a casual fan of many things, and if someone said that I would be like "yeah, I am a casual fan".

Who gives a fug how you classify fans. A fan is a fan. Stfu and get over yourself.
