An Observation Regarding Ginn

I actually believe Ginn is solid. In terms of ST, the special teams suck especially the blocking. Many of the passes that come his way is underthrown however he has made more plays than Funchess/Brown and probably KB. He has certainly missed a few but he has caught some tremendous catches. Give that man his props and keep the anger where it needs to be!

Ginn had 5 catches for 54 yards. That's not bad. It would have been better had that long pass not been underthrown so badly.

Ginn is way, way, way down the list of problems this team has.

these guys have hit the retard button based on emotional losses. Imagine what it would look like without the plays that Ginn has made. The issue is not the WRs

He and KB have to be used together better.

I have said it alot but KB being out forced the team to spread it around last year and that made the team even more difficult to gameplan.

Now that KB is back we are a little more plodding of an offense and not a quick strike  team.

I would guess it's quicker for Philly or Ginn to get open then KB of Funch and that could also contribute to holding the ball a little longer.

for punt returns he seems to be pressing and going sideways thinking he can set up a block or something. he needs to just make one cut and fly.

I thought Ginn playes OK yesterday. Chances are...if we can't cover a punt....we probably can't block for a punt return either... without getting a holding penalty.

We really miss Cotchery; especially on 3rd downs. As for Ginn, he's been decent but I expect him to fall off a cliff skill wise any game now. As for the contact, he's always hated contact. That and dropped passes are what you accept with him due to his amazing home run ability.

All of these people mad the dude runs out of bounds...He's playing smart.  Why risk getting popped, potentially losing the football for another 2-4 yards?  Plus you gotta look at it from his perspective also...he's trying to feed his family for as long as possible...keeping your body intact is key.  Olsen does the same thing sometimes.  I have no problem with it.  Keeps the ball in a place where its likely not to get knocked out.

One thing we haven't done this year is hit Ginn on a crossing patter, which is where he seems to excel at.  As best I can remember, we have tried a few times, but the ball has been thrown a little behind him, forcing him to slow a little.  Ginn is not a guy who can catch the ball in traffic very well, so the timing on those routes needs to get better.

My personal opinion is teams do not respect the deep ball vs us. So the box IMO is more stacked with the return of KB since he is not a deep threat.

I don' t have access to coaches 'All 22' film but I'd like to see more Ginn outside with KB, and Funch rotating that possession role until we are inside the 20's.

We've lost that quick strike ability a bit IMO as we generally DO NOT have a lot of speed on the field with KB, Funch, Olsen.

I'd like to see more KB/Funch - Brown (slot)-Olsen-Ginn packages. We've lost the big plays, at least it feels that way, especially with the OL being injured at LT.
