Do the Panthers win on Sunday with Remmers at LT?

I think its time for the run blocking to win this game for us.. I don't see our line holding their pass rush and blitz for a shoot out. Remmers could bully Jones in the trenches. I think Norwell is going to make nasty blocks... Turner gonna have to bump Cambell from getting in front of Cams vision.

Gotta play smart sound football and have fun

If Remmers is the starting LT, I'd be more concerned with D Williams starting, as his pass protection is still his weakness.

I would be interested to hear how you came up with this analysis on Daryl? Because from everything I have seen, he has played really well.

Okay, so you take Remmers, a RT and move him over to fill in at LT. He didn't start the season there or work on that position during training camp. Not only is he out of his natural position, but the techniques and assignments in plays can be considerably different from what he was fairly well-equipped for at RT.

The guy's getting slammed pretty hard for going out and doing the best he can to protect Cam. And, according to the Panthers.com he was only responsible for three sacks since he took over the position. That's probably better than you could expect from most team's backup LT.

As an RT he was serviceable or better for most of last season. His worst performance was against Denver, which had keyed on him as a major part of their gameplan --- one that featured some of the best edge rushers in the league. And that night, he was just one of many that didn't play up to their expected levels.

Let's give the guy a break, or even some credit for not turning this into an even bigger horrorshow than it is.

And let's not forget, the offense has been putting up points somehow. If the guys who line up against him each day in practice were doing their jobs better, we'd be in better shape.

So let's back off of him and instead hope he has a good game against the Cards. And let's hope that Oher comes back soon so they can both take their regular positions on the line. Last year, they were pretty darn good for all but a couple of games. Championship worthy good.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
