Problem is, when the dude gets sacked people scream why didn't he just throw it away. I've literally seen that more times than I could count in the Gameday threads.

There were some awful gaffes all around. But the fact of the matter is, the majority of our woes continually goes back to the offensive line.

You can't throw it away in the pocket. Cam Newton, as the man paid the most money, has GOT to get his damn head out of his ass and learn when to fold. It's OKAY to punt. DRILL it into his head. It wasn't 17-6 Chiefs, it was 17-6 Panthers! All we had to do was punt the ball and we win the game. Plain and simple. Despite everything else that went wrong, despite Shula being a complete and utter fuging goddamn moron whose IQ level is in the single digits, if Cam Newton doesn't throw the ball into double coverage and takes a sack instead, we win.

Admittedly I couldn't watch the game, and I'm now trying to piece it together.....

 

But if Cam threw a pick 6, in the 4th, with a 2 score lead....he absolutely cost the Panthers the game.

Ron and Cam's situational awareness is sorely lacking.

The play that changed this game was the online's inability to block when we were within field goal range in the second half. You allow two sacks and you were on the twenty yard line. That is inexcusable. The momentum shifted after that.

By your logic we should be sending Kelvin straight along to the guillotine with Cam.

Luckily some people are capable of applying critical thinking skills while in the moment. You remove that phenomenal touchdown run by Cam Newton, and the numerous catches by Benjamin throughout the game, and we aren't in a position to piss the lead away in the first place. Sometimes poo happens.

Just step away from the ledge, and take a bit to process it all.

I think it's less bad luck and more just a lack of clutch this year.  The team is not coming up big when the opportunities arise.  This is exemplified by the fact that we've essentially lost 4 games on the final play this year:

- Denver: Missed FG

- New Orleans: Gave up long drive and FG

- Tampa Bay: Gave up long drive and FG

- Kansas City: Turnover and gave up FG

Tampa, KC and Denver just inexcusable we didn't win them.  No fuging sense in it.  Poor kicking, poor decisions by coaching and pussy like execution is the difference between half a game lead in the NFCS and dead fuging last. Its so embarrasing to go from 15-1 to 3-6
