Is it even possible for Dave to fire Rivera?

When Dave was hired it was on the terms he had to keep Rivera and all his staff. With that said does he even have the power to fire him or just try to overcome his many faults.

I can see Coughlin as a consultant, but not a head coach.

If Gettleman were to hire his own head coach, my money would be on Frank Reich.

Kyle Shanahan would also be a possibility, but one I wouldn't be too happy about.
