Panther's biggest problem this year and solutions

I know that people are commenting on topics looking for problems and scapegoats. We all know how bad Sunday night was and as a diehard panthers fan for the first time EVER I turned off a Panther's game. I was disgusted with how we played and coached. The only people that cared were Kuechly, TD, and Olsen. As a HS football player who has been to a state semifinals and gone 1-11 the year after. I have a very good feeling what the problem is with this team this year. It is definetly the lack of leadership in the locker room from the players and from the coaches. It is also the awful coaching that has cost us. You know there is a problem when an injured player is the one who has to talk to the referee about a bad call. Rivera is an AWFUL coach. Yes an AWFUL coach. His lack of knowledge for the HC spot is obvious. He has/had Cam, Smitty, Kalil, TD, Kuechly, Gross, and Olsen's greatness over his tenure. He has been very lucky to be where he is. The 12-4 season was all player leadership that led it and complete luck down the stretch of games. 7-8-1 season was a bad schedule, luck, and a 3rd string QB in the WC round. Last season was a lot of great plays and moments from the PLAYERS. Not coaches, PLAYERS. Bad coaching caught up to us against Denver and almost caught up to us a lot last year. This year we aren't getting away with the coaching mistakes and bad gameplanning like we did last year. Call it missing Norman and Oher. I call it bad coaching. Movements and injuries happen to everyone. You can't pull out excuses for those you have to deal with the hand you've been given. The KB injury didn't affect us last year on offense. Why would injuries do different this year? Bad coaching. Shula and Rivera needs to go. McDermott needs to be on the hot seat at DC. I see solutions but we will need to wake up the locker room in the offseason by cleaning some players and coaches out.

1: Clean out the locker room of cancers and bad players. Simple really, Toblert, KB, Oher, and Remmers all need to go. (Nothing against Remmers he is just not talented at tackle.) KB needs to go 100%. He has a bad attitude on the field and doesn't put in effort at all in any plays. I say trade him for a draft pick or 2. Oher is retiring so we don't need to worry about that I say he needs to go just simply cause he needs to reitre. No reason in risking your life over another year or 2 of football. Tolbert is pretty self explanitory. He is just plain bad and has no want to play football. You can tell whenever you watch him on the field.

2: Clean out the coaching staff of bad coaches and cancers. Fire Shula and Rivera. Put McDermott on the hotseat for DC since his defense has been trash all year. Sign Norv Turner for OC and Go after Josh McDaniels for HC. He awoke the Pats offense again when he got there. Maybe he can do the same for a talented Panthers team as HC. He also is a stable coach who can let Cam be Cam and not be nazi about anything (Like Rivera.)

3: Address simple needs in FA and Draft. Resign Norwell and Turner. Tag KK. Release Boston. In the draft we need OT's, a WR, RB, and a S. DE isn't a huge issue but can be fixed temporarily in FA. Also a OT signing would be good. Start D Williams at RT and an asset we aquire at LT. (Make sure that it is a good LT.) Maybe also sign a WR for depth and competition.

4: Put the Panther's logo at center field instead of the NFL logo. Richardson needs to let the NFL know that he ain't taking no more bullcrap. Also I would love to see that perfect Panthers logo at the 50.

These solutions may take a year or 2 to kick in. But at the end we will be a contender again (Hopefully.)

take Remmers for example.  Our problem isn't Remmers is on our roster, it is we ask him to start.  Biggest issue is we have depth level talent we expect to start.   If we have depth level caliber talent starting that also means our depth is weak too.

    • yeah, Steve was basically like on any actual topic that approached his flaws/problems.....89 went with the long winded, try to sound like a wise man strategy of just basically just pleading the 5th (and sprinkling in the idea that others could of been wrong or wrong too).   also, in terms of the assaults and stuff like that....it feels like old 89, I feel has sort of forgotten his well-documented confessions and apologies about that aspect and era of his and was trying to re-write his story/image in hindsight.   And in all honesty, it seemed like a PR move on the twitter/cheating stuff also attempting to play himself as not the bad guy some think with the intentional vague suggestions. and the Pivot and all these athlete moves to basically take the reigns and power from traditional outlets exposes they have just as bad as flaws if not more often than the traditional media folks.  I mean I do like the free form long talk when dudes are telling stories but all this stuff is largely flawed and controlled PR often.
    • Sadly, I agree and I’m a huge Melo fan. Might be time to ship him out. Don’t want to make the same mistakes the Pels did. They should’ve gotten rid of Zion two years ago.
    • I forgot he was on the team and I'm pulling for him, but the statistics are not in his favor.  Some guys can recover from injuries and others cannot and let's hope Brooks is the former.  He was a beast in high school and college.
