We didn't let Norman walk to sign KK. Fans may have thought that but that was never the intention when letting Norman walk.

I agree with this. If he wants 16 million+ I doubt we pay him.

May be a lose lose situation honestly one that Gman hasn't had to really deal with yet.

If he Pays him that he over paid...but if he lets an all pro fugin pass rush DT go....yea our DL goes from being poo to being literally not even there.

You can't replace that...pass rushing DT's are extremely rare...I'd go as far as to say he probably IS worth 16/y but paying that is sketchy at best.

The franchise tag is high, but I say you still tag him. Make him prove to you that 2015 wasn't a joke. If he has show that he is that player in 2017 then you give him the money, if not then let him walk. 

I do not trust Butler yet as a full time starter.

The franchise tag could be a distraction though
