Anyone notice how cowardly we play on special teams?

This is all aspects lol we have 1:20 left til half time our play call is run the clock out.

You see top tier teams go down and score. You see Seattle progressing every chance they get. Tom Brady would punch someone if they ran the clock out before half time.

Its the essence of the team starts with Coaching.

We play not to lose and its haunted us for years. Its something about Charlotte as well... its looked down upon to run up a score or press the gas pedal. They might get fined for not playing nice.

That block had more to do with a low kick. When was the last we had one of those jump over the center blocks? Or a block from one of the gunners

Almost every block is from in front of the kicker. Rarely does the wing guy get there in time. So Butler gets a block, because he actually, you know, blocked a kick.

Now this may just be me. But if you block a kick, you get credit for doing so.

Cowards?... Really?...??? So now we have gotten to the point where we are calling our players, and Coaches cowards? Sad.

SMH at this. What kind of person uses that word period? Let alone at folks busting their butts to make a living, and to entertain us. Ah the interwebz. You gotta love it.

Ron doesn't play to win. Instead of thinking what can we do to win this game, it's all about what can we do to not lose it

Which is basically just playing good DEFENSE to him, nothing else. I don't care how many coach of the year awards he has the guy doesn't have everything needed to be  a HEAD coach. He coaches this team like he is still a coordinator.

wrong, most blocks in the NFL come from the gunners or players jumping over the center

C'mon Goob, even you can't believe that. Almost every kick is some how low enough to get blocked. Very few get blocked from the wing, and fewer get blocked over the center. The vast majority get blocked up front, from being too low.

Just admit, that in this instance you may be wrong. Or not, it is up to you.

Go look at every block team? lol  Like you did? Give me a break. Just admit that you were, oh I don't know,..making things up? Wouldn't that be easier?

Lol. Sorry Goob, but you could not be more wrong. Edge rushers rarely get there. And those guys that go over the center never really work. If you want to block a kick. You have to hope the kick is low.

If a kicker gets it off right, you have no chance of blocking it. If the kicker kicks it low, you have a chance. Hence, the longer the kick, the lower the trajectory. which gives the blocking team more hope. As in. You can hope to block a 50 yarder because of the low trajectory. But you will rarely block a 30 yarder, because the trajectory is higher.

Yes, there is a chance that edge rusher gets there, but it is minimal, you have to admit that. And yes, there is a chance you can jump over the center and get there, but it is just as iffy. The only real way you can count on a kick being blocked, is if the kicker kicks it low.

Just admit, for once, that you have picked the wrong side. That your view of the blocked kick is skewed. It won't hurt you physically I promise.....

It's like talking to a brick wall, do you have redzone? Have you seen all the blocked FG this season? You can't be anymore wrong.

Either way your going way off topic to protect our cowardly special teams. What kind of fantasy land do you live in?

You do realize that more FGs are missed, than are blocked? So I am not sure where you are going with this. I mean, is it that painful to give Butler credit for a blocked FG? That you have to go though all this?

Because you said this.       " 30 minutes ago, GoobyPls said:

"wrong, most blocks in the NFL come from the gunners or players jumping over the center." To which I say, yeah, right..

Then you said this. "This isn't he 1970's anymore, go look at every team FG block team. Have you been paying attention to the NFL lately?" To which I say, Sure, let me get right on that.

Then you finished it off with this gem. " do you have redzone?" To which I say, Yes. So what?

A whole lot of nothing to defend one FG block. Is Butler that much of a pain, that you cannot conceive of giving him credit for one lousy FG block?

C;mon Goob. just admit. Contrary to what you say. Most FG blocks are a result of a bad kick. And Butler got him one. HA!

Maybe 3 returns all year that went past the 25. The majority stop well short of the 25. Out kick return unit may be the worst in the league.

Well....one thing that would help is not carrying 3 QBs on gamedays.
