Official Matty Meltdown Thread: Failcons VS Packers

I'm sorry Rivera is a good dude but his inability to see Shula as the weakness that he is will eventually lead to his own downfall. Oh well, you could have prevented that by letting him go and bringing in someone capable, the coordinators reflect on the head coach.

I'm scared that honestly if we get rid of Shula we might find out that he really isn't the problem but we probably aren't going to get rid of Shula like ever he would have to step away.

Lol....no its called an ass dragging.

I think Ryan will win the MVP, honestly with the way those guys are playing he's earned it, but some of these passes are not going to cut it against the Pats or Steelers. Corners playing 5 yards off, watching the receivers basically coast for first downs, leaving Julio on an island, yada yada. Just piss poor defense.

Last years NFC championship was a pure defensive ass whooping for the most part. This is just all offense exposing a way in over their heads defense. Even so, the Packers should know better either way, christ, the Chargers played Atlanta harder than this.

And, in response to you, I'll respond yet again what I've said in numerous other threads...

What Shula is doing?

That's EXACTLY what Ron Rivera wants and demands of him.

Which is why I never agreed with the "we need to replace Shula" threads.  Why?  Because replacing Shula without replacing Rivera would just be pissing in the wind.  Because whoever replaces Shula, guess what?  They'd be doing EXACTLY what Ron Rivera wants ad demands of them.

What about fuging Shula who can't adjust his schemes to his personnel? The Falcons have a genius calling their plays on offense meanwhile we are stuck with Shula. That is a joke.

Shulas been here for years. We all know what he is.  It's up to Gettlemen to fire his shitty ass.  He won't.  We know Rivera won't.

@Mojo and whoever else, the Falcons defense came into the playoffs as the worst out the bunch. A beat down of an injured Packers team on both sides of the ball, and one whose offense is playing Santa Clause with turnovers and drops, does not fool me. You can let it fool you, but not me. The AFC champion will show them for what they are: All offense!

    • My comments go back to what I would have done in 2023. That is really when everything veered off of what I thought was good and well. I wanted to keep Wilks, re-sign Darnold and Foreman, and trade down in the draft to take Torrance, Kincaid, Charbonnet, or Mims obviously depending on where they fell. Knowing what was coming the next draft class, that was the prudent thing to do.    I’d still take Warren over Tet, or even Matthew Golden over Tet. Bryce needs guys who get open because right now, no one on this roster creates separation forcing Bryce to be a pinpoint passer which is insane because he’s 5’9. Give me receiving options that create space.    they called him a Mini-Mahomes yet have done nothing similar to what the Chiefs have done to capitalize on those “traits”. It’s absurd. Give me a tight end who can back yard ball, a slasher at running back, a power back, and two 4.3 receivers with exceptional route running.    That’s how you build around what Bryce has done well.
    • We should have traded down, taken Torrance, taken Charbonnet and Mims. Then gone defense. Re-signed Foreman and Darnold. If we sucked again, then you get a shot at Daniels, Maye, Williams, or Nix. You get to keep DJ Moore and stack a core of talent.
    • What is it that Cam is supposed to do differently? He is a running back. Dart will learn to slide, and eventually he won’t be playing with PS elevation receivers so he won’t have to run nearly as much.
