Wow. Didn't see that coming.

Why am I posting this here? Well, it seems like most of us just assume we'll have Cam for another decade. Cam will be 28 on opening day next season. Roethlisberger is another big QB who's taken a beating in his career and it's pretty clear that just six years down the road from where Cam is now, he's thinking of calling it a career. As a 34 year old snowboarder and mountain biker, I can empathize. Stuff that could be brushed off a few years ago is starting to hurt. Recovery is slower. And I'm not taking multiple hits from huge freak athletes every single week. Cam is already making comments about the game not being fun anymore.

The Panthers need to wake TF up and realize that the time is now. Stop building for this future that never seems to arrive. We have an elite young QB in his prime and we have cap space. Those are the two assets every team craves. Time to stop building for the future and build for the NOW.

We need to really change things up this offseason. Cam wont last at all if wr don't protect them (that includes going to the league office) and change how we are using him. Any Qb that throws for 5 tds multiple games (2015 year) can definitely handle pocket passing and rely on his legs as an outlet. I just want this kid to have a long career and taking hits like he does isn't helping. I will understand Ben if he hangs it up. You have to really think about the quality of life outside football
