looks like packer may be making a comeback. Was hands down the best show on WFNZ back in the day, even if he's mostly college sports talk. Would be nice to have him back.

Interesting. I'm assuming he would be a midday guy? No way they move Mac or Kroeger.

Oh good grief, no. Packer was s--t.

He spent more of his show talking about himself than he did about sports.

correct. at least QCB can make you chuckle every once in a blue moon. He also works his ass off for that station. Nate was/is an egotistical jackass who was cringe worthy on the radio. I am a huge sports talk radio fan, and listen to different stations over the country (mainly NY and Charlotte) and I can honestly say that I have never heard anyone close to as bad as Nate. WFNZ could replace him with TruCatzFan from back in the day and they automatically have improved themselves.

I don't care to chuckle .. I want sports when listening to a sports station.. And QCB doesn't have clue.. Not to mention he lies alot...

I like QCB more and more.  He knows plenty but that's typically not the roll he's playing on air.  

Nate was probably the only one so irritating I turned it off or would avoid it. He would repeat the same thing literally 3 times and do that 4 times within an hour and then come back what seemed like for 3 more shows and say the same things again. Even if he was interesting that is a obviously bad. 

They need to get over the notion that every guy who is able to work behind the scenes running the station should get talk on air much less get their own show much less be on air all day long.

I would hate to see either of them go in favor of Packer. I don't dislike him but definitely prefer those two over him. Personal preference and I realize others really liked Packer. I enjoyed his show but think both Mac and Kroeger are a better fit. Interesting tidbit though.

Don't necessarily agree with your opinion on his show but appreciate the info. That's interesting.

I enjoy FNZ. Living in Atlanta there are not very many options to get Panther info. Nate was a hard listen though. If I wanted to hear somebody bash the team I could just listen to radio here. Hate to see somebody lose their job so I'm glad he has found work. Glad to hear he is not on the radio anymore though.

I wasn't the biggest fan of his but his show was good for the station. It at least had energy and good gueststuff and hosts. They need something.

I don't think he is with them anymore is he? I used to hear him in 730 but it's been awhile.

Just curious because I respect your opinion but who do / did u like in local sports radio?

For my money, the best guy going right now is definitely Kroeger.

Mac is great as a "Morning Zoo" type and Frank can be interesting in the "former athlete" sense (can be a bit of a meathead, though) but Kroeger in my mind is the smartest guy in the room when they're discussing sports. I don't agree with everything he says, but I like his process.
