We don't. The police do

That means squat, actually. I am a criminal defense attorney in the Air For e. Most of my work is in the realm of sexual assault. I can tell from experience that just because someone is charged means nothings about whether they are actually guilty or not. Air Force investigators often overlook exculpatory evidence, and civilian police do the same thing.

Im not saying this guy didn't do it, but to say that just because he was charged means he did it is completely wrong.

typical male point of view. Totally disrespectful to the victim

How is it a "male point of view" to wait for all the information to come out before making an assumption about guilt?  The presumption of innocence requires that an alleged victim's case be able to stand up against reasonable doubt.  It doesn't require someone accused to prove their innocence.

This comment  and what it stands for is what's wrong with the freaking world today. People are so quick to rush to judgment of others based on what they "want" to believe, not what is actually the case. I'm not saying victim blaming or shaming is ever appropriate, as I've also been a senior Air Force prosecutor and prosecuted the most heinous sexual crimes. What I am saying is that you can't take one side of a story and draw an accurate conclusion most of the time.
