2 cents of the issue of cams shoulder.

Hi.  Im motocross_cat, i have had my entire right shoulder operated on with a torn labrum, cuff and upper biceps.  Was not a minor deal.  Fully blown out.

The next 3 months were absolute hell, the rehab was the most painfull and extensive ordeal i have dealt with and i have basically destroyed my body racing motocross.  At the 6 month point i was finally back to lets say 90%.

SO, what cam is having done is not nearly as bad as far as the extent of the damage i personally had that we know about so anyone one writing him off for the 2017 season needs to calm down.  Cam will be ready to go i feel sure for the new season.  Was it wrong to allow him to continue to play during the 2016 season......probably.  However, in my experience......as a mere mortal he will be fine.

Im sure no one cares but alittle perspective from a dude who has dealt with it.

Sorry you got messed up that bad. It's a minor surgery considering it is a partial tear. He will be ok.

Naw man i diddnt have to work for awhile so its all good.  Point i want to make is that this is in no way a season ending issue.  He will be ready to go at full strength by august.

Working in a setting were I see a lot of orthopedic injuries/surgies I know your surgery was hell. Not a lot of good outcomes ever from Labrum tears. Period.

Last time I checked Cam has no torn labrum or Biceps tendon tear. And of course anytime someone cuts into your body its going to be painful so pain IMO is besides the point. Also, from what I was able to gather about Cams surgery, it will most likely be arthroscopic, meaning way less invasive than yours. Plus Cams a physical specimen, lets not forget that.

So even though you have experience with shoulder surgery its not really the same. It would be like trying to compare open heart surgery to having a stent put in. Not the same type of surgery even though its on the same part of the body.

Your right everyone needs to quit freaking out. Brees had a far more severe shoulder problem and look at him now. No worries guys

This is something a lot of us have bitching about for years. The medical side of the Panthers. Thomas Davis is a freak, and has willed his body past the Panthers.

Cameron Jerrell Newton is the face of the franchise, and if a tie is the biggest concern over a shoulder. Then I have to question everything about caring anything about the players.

If you care more about the season than the player, then there is something seriously wrong with your approach to winning.
