I was completely addicted to the Gong Show as a kid. I loved Gene. But for some reason I remember this one guy who came on the show to do motorcycle impressions - some one would yell out "Honda!" and he would go

Hooonnnnnnnn...

Hon.........

Hoooonnnnnnnn.....DAAAAAAAAAAA, (gear change) Hon.....DA........

like that - it was so dumb but I thought it was hilarious.

I'm gonna need to know if he got gonged or not. You can't leave us hanging like that.

*Edit* NM - I read the article and he got the gong. What a dick move....especially before he got to do Kawasaki and Suzuki.

The one on the left looks like Debralee Scott.

People on the net have speculated that she is. The girls were underage (15 and 17). The act aired in 1978 when Debralee would have been 25 (b. 1953), so it's probably not her. But you're right, she really does look like Debralee.

That's exactly what I thought too!

so sad Debralee:

Overview (2)

Date of Birth 2 April 1953Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA
Date of Death 5 April 2005Amelia Island, Florida, USA  (natural causes)

Trivia (6)

She was engaged to John Levi, who was a police officer with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, who was killed in the September 11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.
Sister of producer Scott Bushnell and Jeri Scott (Talent Manager).
Auditioned for the role of Marty in Grease (1978). It was narrowed down to Debralee Scott and Dinah Manoff. Although Scott was better known at the time (and closer to the age of others already cast), Manoff got the part.
Ironically, she died in Florida shortly after moving there from New York City to help an ailing sister. One day she collapsed and was in a coma for several days but awoke in the hospital and seemed to be fine for a spell. She was released two days later on her birthday. No explanation was given for the coma, but she seemed fine and in good spirits. Three days later she went to take a nap and never woke up. Cause of death uncertain despite an autopsy. She was cremated.
Deadpan, plaintive-looking 70s and 80s support actress who played for laughs with prominent roles in the sitcom Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman (1976) and a few of the "Police Academy" slapstick movies.
The mother of her fiancé said Scott developed a drinking disorder shortly after the the 9/11 atrocities. She says, "Debralee has cirrhosis of the liver from her drinking." The actress' sister Jerri Scott adds, "She never did get over Dennis' death.".

    • I would be quite surprised if he got more than a fine. Flopping has long been out of hand in the NBA. There were definitely some Heat players doing extra selling fouls. LaMelo seems to be getting quite a bit of hate on social media for the Bam injury though. And it is fair to wonder how the next opponent might defend him going forward knowing what happened. I don't think we can just be homers and dismiss it entirely especially after all the complaints we've made about the Pistons in particular. I think this group better be prepared for a very physical game on Friday.
    • When you look closely at the play it was careless from Melo but bang bang full speed I don’t think it was intentional or dirty or deserving of a foul. Bam’s off balance momentum was already carrying him towards a fall and even if Melo didn’t touch him it may have had the exact same outcome. And honestly I think he did try to sell it more when he felt LaMelo’s hand. Dudes arms flopped back instead of bracing for the fall. Sucks he got hurt but a suspension would be ridiculous and an awful look for the league. Fine and move on
    • Sure but it literally would be benching him lol, and it would kill his confidence. He’ll get back in a rhythm, kid just had an all time great rookie season and led the league in 3s, you gotta stick with him as starter. But yeah I’m all for getting some more lineups throughout the game with Coby and Melo   and yeah Miles’ block and Coby and others jumping him in celebration was fuging epic
