Celebrate Falcons failure on March 28th - #HowWillYou25 on 3-28

I am starting an annual charity push in the mold of Pay it Forward to celebrate the Falcons epic choke job. Think of it as 'Fail it Forward'. I am calling it 'How Will You 25'. It's simple. Pick a charity or cause that you care about and donate $25 dollars on 3-28. Or, if you can't afford a $25 donation, donate 25 minutes of your time helping a cause. The whole idea is to do some good while celebrating the Falcons shitting their pants. Let me be the first to wish you a Happy 3-28. My annual 3/28 donation of $25 will be going to the Thomas Davis Defending Dreams Foundation.

I'm all for rubbing it in, but I also believe in Karma...... The Falcons have gotten their comeuppance, not it's just getting vindictive.

I somewhat agree.  But I had Falcons fans rubbing poo in my face for a year, basically until they lost their Super Bowl.  So, after tomorrow I will let it die.

How in Hades is donating money to charity going to damage your Karma ???

I'm a few days late, but will be donating my $25 to Greg's charity.  https://receptionsforresearch.org/

EDIT: Great idea SCP.

I remember watching our Owl with a general numb apprehension and the knowledge that I was probably going to have to suffer some depression from the end of the first quarter, so it's all a blur to me.

I would imagine that being that hype about getting that much on the Patriots, then watch the unthinkable happen, must be completely devastating. And almost everything is crystal clear in yor memory.

I hate the Falcons and am glad they lost, but I hate wishing bad karma on people just because they were born in Atlanta and have no taste. Plus the Patriots winning it instead didn't exactly make me happy.

    • The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.
    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
