I read somewhere that this guy has better natural ability to be a O-lineman or TE. He has the physical size/tools no doubt, but we don't want a player like Dion Jordan.

I think there's probably a lot of guys playing defense who would be better suited to playing OL. Gotta think about it, if you're a HS or college coach and you have a great jumbo athlete where is he going to provide the biggest impact for you? Blocking for a possibly mediocre QB/RB or causing headaches for the opposing offense? OL are facilitators. They won't do you much good if you don't have some other talent on offense. Dominant defenders can make an impact by themselves either buy piling up stats themselves or occupying multiple blockers  leaving teammates unblocked.

Maybe, but hopefully not in the 2nd. We should be drafted immediate impact guys at 8, 40 and 64.

I hear you on this but it's important to see how Panthers org is discussing things in the lead up to the draft. take for instance the latest .com story about Gettleman and "windows."

Now mind you, Gettleman and the Panthers aren't about winning at all costs. They work hard to make sure the players they sign and draft are fits for the franchise, from a scheme standpoint but also from a character standpoint. And as excited as Gettleman is about the talent in this year's draft class, all eight of Carolina's picks – and maybe even the No. 8 overall pick – won't be fully focused on winning in 2017.

"There's going to be a number of good players there. That's where you get into the long-term, short-term stuff – who's going to help us right now as opposed to the guy that is gifted but maybe isn't 100 percent ready to step onto the field," Gettleman said. "We're going to take the best player that we feel can help get us to the promised land."

I think probably for the first time since Gettleman arrived, they're taking a broader view at "projectable" type players. Kpassagnon is definitely that. so in the case of a player like him, bad looking tape is taken with a grain of salt. if he drills such-and-such technique into the ground between now and August, can he be good enough to be the 5th DE for a few games while he develops, etc. and if his physical traits project to a 2nd round kind of DE, then they'll take him and brag about how smart they are too.

Yes, lets get this guy... if we can't get one of the top DE or Fournette in the first round... my new favorite 1st and 2nd round picks are...

1st OJ

2nd D'onta Foreman

2nd Tanoh

That's ridiculously too high to even consider Foreman.
