youall know it would be a good move for them and deep down wether your coucious of it or not it bothers you they got him. (if they get him)

Speak for yourself.  I find it laughable.  No one else wants him and this falls perfectly in line with the irrational (old vs young, offense vs defense, present vs future, who fugging knows?) Saints FO.  If by good for them, an extra win or two as they spin the wheels of mediocrity before settling at the bottom of the toilet where they've always been?  Sure.

AP is kinda overrated anyways. The fumbling severely outweighs anything else he contributes.

According to you, 34 career fumbles outweighs 11,747 and 97 touchdowns?

Emmitt Smith - 61 fumbles
Gale Sayers - 34 fumbles (in 6 seasons)
Walter Payton - 86 fumbles
Eric Dickerson - 78 fumbles
Jim Brown - 57 fumbles

Look at these overrated HOFers

Clearly my comment is aimed towards the latter part of his career. Give me his fumble numbers and how many KEY playoff losses can be aimed at said turnovers. He's been highly productive, but the rate he fumbles is bizarre.

Seems like AP has been linked to literally every team in the league.  I don't care who he signs with, if my memory serves me well, he's never torched us too bad.  Plus he's not getting any younger.

You're right. I don't understand how we do so well against top running backs like him and David Johnson and get torched by Jacquizz-Rogers

Here is career carries, total fumbles and rate of carries per fumble.

His fumble rate improved the last 7 seasons (1/79) compared to his overall career (1/62).

Carries        Fumbles        Rate
238        4        1/34
363        9        1/40
314        7        1/44
283        1        1/283
208        1        1/208
348        4        1/87
279        5        1/55.8
21        0        0
327        7        1/46
37        1        1/37

Career 1/62
Last 7 seasons - 1/79

AP is a HOF RB no doubt.

It would suck to see him in NOLA or any other division rival.

However, the saints are in panic mode trying to win now with Brees.  Smells a lot like the Redskins and their attempts to buy a ring, but to a lesser degree.

They will inevitably bumblefug their way into the season, win 7-8 games and bow out with little fanfare.

I'm still trying to understand your point of view/argument. Only 3 players on the Top 15 in career rushing yards have less career fumbles than Adrian Peterson (Curtis Thomas, Ladanian Tomlinson, Marshall Faulk). Does having more fumbles than AP make the other 12 RBs lesser players?

I'm not disagreeing with you in that fumbles are bad, however I am of the opinion that your notion on his fumbling is based on his early career and shouldn't apply in his current assessment. I would be more worried if he can even handle 25 carries a game without getting hurt much less worried on if he fumbles once out of every 25 carries.

My original point is that he's overrated and not effective as he once was at this point and that he's always been turnover prone in the playoffs or key games.

In Minn's best W/L year (2015) he had 7 fumbles and a potential game winning scoring drive fumble against Seattle in that year's playoffs.

Hes not clutch. Productive and a HOFer but not clutch.
