April 10th Consensus Mock Draft

Has us taking Barnett with pick 8. McCaffrey fell out of the 1st round. Saints got both Taco Charlton and Obi Melifonwu damn.. 

I think we're all talking about offense players too much with our first. In reality it'll probably be Barnett, Charlton, Allen, Adams, or Lattimore I bet. It just makes too much sense. That's assuming that Fournette goes at #4 anyway. I think the team will get a RB + WR with the 2nd rounders.

Has there been anything connecting us to Barnett? I'm intrigued by him, I've just seen nothing that indicates we have any serious interest.

Barnett now a likely mid first round pick. Not a blue chip player, but should be a productive one.

People forget we have a 1st time DC. Making sure he has the right players is key for success. Barnett is a good first pick.

I'm only barely ok with the idea that we take Barnett at 8. I think he'd be 50/50 to be Spinderella 2.0.

I'm not arguing for or against Barnett. I can understand both sides of that one.

All I'm saying is that I've seen nothing that indicates we're seriously considering him.

lets be honest. None of these experts have any clue who Gettleman is thinking of taking. The 8 spot this year is right on the cusp of the sure fire blue chips and then the "rest" of the field. Guys that could go anywhere from 15-45 and no one would bat an eyelash.

Funny...I was just watching some highlights of Barnett because I hadn't really given him much consideration and wanted to see what kind of player he is....this dude is for real. He is so quick off the ball, great hands, and can cover the flats if called upon to drop off the line (which our DEs seem to do regularly).  I wouldn't be mad if we drafted him with the #8 pick.  He completely destroyed Cam Robinson on a couple of plays against Alabama. Also, he broke Reggie White's sack record at Tennessee.

Same with Star in 2013.  No visit, the tape and team need rued the day, as I'm hoping it will with Barnett.
