Chris Gamble scored a 9 on the Wonderlic. I remember it being a big deal around the time of his draft. I have to agree though, this seems like the reddest of flags for a position that requires so much brain work. .

McNabb scored something like a 3 as well.

You don't have to be a Nobel Prize winning scientist to be a great football player. There's plenty of great football players that are about as dumb as a rock.

Find the guy with the ball, hit the guy with the ball. Believe me since leaving Stanford the IQ level of College athletes has dropped precipitously. It's amazing what comes in the door here.

a 9 year old could answer the questions on a wonderlic.

It helps teams get a grasp of how you approach things, how you do under pressure, etc etc..

Did you read what you wrote?

How does someone with the IQ of 65 approach any type of puzzle compared to a person with an IQ of 110?  Then...how would both groups do if they were told a puppy would die if they don't hurry up and figure it out.

Let me know when a 9 year old can make the same score as you concerning "a grasp of how you approach things, how you do under pressure, etc etc".

The wonderlic has nothing to do with intelligence

The Wonderlic Personnel Test (formerly known as the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test) is a popular group intelligence test used to assess the aptitude of prospective employees for learning and problem-solving in a range of occupations. The score is calculated as the number of correct answers given in the allotted time. A score of 20 is intended to indicate average intelligence (corresponding to an intelligence quotient of 100).[3] Wonderlic, Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate.

Check mate.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
