I bet they'd be willing to take next to nothing for him!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/05/01/report-eagles-wont-exercise-marcus-smiths-2018-option/

"In two years playing linebacker in former defensive coordinator Bill Davis’ 3-4 scheme and one year as a defensive end in Jim Schwartz’s system, those hopes have not been realized. Smith has four sacks over the three years and has never started a regular season game for the Eagles.

Given those facts, it comes as no surprise that Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the team will not pick up the 2018 option on Smith’s contract."

Yeah, he's only got 4 sacks in 3 season and he's been nothing but a total JAG in his entire NFL tenure, but just think of the value in his potential!  We have to get this guy!

DON'T BLOW THIS OPPORTUNITY GETTLEDOUCHE!!!!11!!!!!1!!!!

:P

PFT reporting the Vikings have told Teddy Bridgewater they're not picking up his fifth year option either.

Hate it for Bridgewater, but the Vikings would be insane to pick up an option that's guaranteed for injury on a player who may have suffered an injury that turns out to be career ending.

They basically came out and said that.

Hey tiger let me show how to reply to a thread like this without being a total doche or acting like ppl are attacking your Baby daddy Gettelman..

.....

A young former 1st round talent out on the market for cheap with no risk to us if he doesn't workout??

Wow not a bad idea.. He does have low production but I think Our dline coaches are some of the best in the league and might be able to get something out of him.. In our system which is better than Philly's he might be one of the diamonds that Dave seem to find every year.. I say we should take a shot...

End scene..

Easy....

    • I think a couple of these will turn out better than a quick first impression might indicate.  Specifically the GB guy. I mean, that team and organization is depleted of talent and kind of headed towards the bottom. But I think the dud has some skills.  Head coach in college, with NFL cred too. Tough situation he is taking on.    And I hate to say, Atlanta.  Stefanski might be unleashed lol. Still has a QB deficit though. He’ll get a ton of owner support I think. Blank badly wants Matt Ryan to succeed.    I was cold on Tennessee but they are requiring Saleh to hire an experienced OC and they have some pieces on defense. It might be a little better than I expected at first. Won’t be great anytime soon though.     Harbaugh is proven and a lot of the NFC East is pretty shaky.    I think Baltimore could have fuged up. They apparently are allowing their QB to rule the roost and that ia really a suspect strategy.  OTOH that QB is very potent on the field and could make a mediocre coach look decent.     I am close to there on Buffalo, as far as did they fug up. I am not real optimistic for them, but could be totally wrong.    Pittsburg is the most interesting because of their incredible hiring success. One of these times it ain’t gonna work out so smooth for them. I mean they are kind of due. Will it be this time?     Arizona? Graveyard.  Las Vegas? Probably the same thing. But they might resurrect NE mojo in the desert. I guess it could happen.
