Don't know if that constitutes a "big problem" or rather "minor inconvenience".  For the team I mean.  Obviously a bigger deal to Zimmer personally.

It's a big problem.  8 eye surgeries with no permanent solution represents an unstable and shaky situation at best.

No doubt.  Hopefully he can recover though.  It sounds like the procedure went well and the news from his doctors was positive.

He's now had 8 surgeries from what was only an eye scratch last fall.

From what I've read, retina surgery requires basically lying face down for a week or so in order to heal. Probably why he didn't heal during the season.

i don't think it's a coincidence that he started having these problems around the same time they opened that stadium. that thing is such an eyesore.

Poor guy, I feel for him. I'm sure his vision as a coach has been mosconstrued. 

Even so, "everyone is equal in my eye".
